G'day All.
I have a bit of a conundrum.
I'm a relatively new vaper. Started earlier this year with evods and quickly moved to a Kanger top tank mini starter kit.
The kanger "broke" in less than 2 months (fixed now though) and after finding this forum I realised my vaping future revolved around a Provari so I bought a Procyon, which I Love. (this is a very long story made short)
I was originally considering a Radius but the "plastic" body put me off somewhat (as did the "stupidly complex" battery replacement) considering it was AUS $300 down here in Australia, so I sprung for the beautiful SS Procyon.
Long story short I've been over the moon happy with my foray into Provari ever since.
But after an initial and very disappointing addition of a kabuki I upgraded to a Kayfun 5 to grace my beloved Procyon.
The past cuppa days I think I've managed to overcome the shortcomings of the kabuki and I'm toying with the idea of buying another mod to have it permanently attached to.
This brings me back to reconsidering a Radius, partly because I now have zero interest in any other brand of mod, and partly because I'd love to have a box mod as well as my magnificent tube mod.
I'm Not a wealthy man, but I do know a quality and durable product when I see it.
I love vaping and it will be a part of my life for years to come.
But I have no interest in cloud chasing, and the latest greatest features.
Its all about flavour, reliability, and consistency for me.
Buy the best Now, and simply sit back and enjoy my vaping for years to come.
So a question for those of you who own multiple Provari's, do you think I'd be a happy man purchasing a Radius as my only "box mod"...or do you think it would be a small step "backwards" from my beloved Procyon?
p.s. I don't need more than 30watts and never will, so even the 40 watt Radius is and will be more than enough.
oh and I do actually miss plugging in my kanger to USB charge for top ups in the car/truck which is something the Procyon can't do.
OK, so what changed your mind on the Kabuki? If I've followed your messages correctly, you were having problems with burnt coils. How did you overcome that?
As one who owns multiple Kabukis, two Radii and lots of P3s and 2.5s, I'm obviously heavy into the ProVari and House of Hybrids world. However, I do have multiple authentic Kayfuns and other mods, which I also like. This past weekend I spent most of my time using an Aspire NX-75 and an Innokin Cool Fire IV 18650, both with Aspire Triton Minis with 1.8ohm Clapton coils at 14 watts. Great little units. I'm glad I have them.
Both nothing but the damn FDA will replace a Radius with a Kabuki for home use or a Ti P3 with a Ti Kabuki for out and about.
