Does any of you use temperature control today? What's the experience vs regular kanthal on a vw device?

Nope and absolutely nothing compells me to even try it. My understanding it is more beneficial vaping at higher wattages. I rarely vape over 15w and 22w is my max. I never get dry hits either. I think it is a selling gimmick myself.

I have 2 temp control boxes. None of these devices are perfect. A lot of fiddling is required to get it to work right and stay working right. I don't like fiddling. And do not think it was worth it as far as taste and vapor are concerned
Give me a subtank or nautilis and set the watts and go about my day. I hope radius doesn't have it. It's an added expense and unless it works perfect and can use any type of wire. It's not worth the extra bucks. Just my 2 cents.

I have an EVIC TC mod and I like it but it does take some fiddling sometimes. My guess is that TC does not yet fit into the "it just works" Provari philosophy. Just my hunch...

OH......So it takes a friggin contest to get you out of hiding, eh HBManOfTheCorpseDude???????????????
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
The boys are back in town!

No, Sir RyBryLawDudeGuy...a contest is not my interest at all.
Quite like a moth to a flame, I was drawn here by the revelation of this new Provape product!
I, for one, always said I'd never own a box mod unless Provape made one.
I just think they look goofy, and people look even goofier holding giant boxes to their face...plus, if tube mods get a bad rap for "looking all the same", box mods are even worse!
But then, Provape comes along, and puts the one design element in a box mod, that every other box mod is missing...
THE NAME PROVAPE!
I'm imagining that I'll own two, with the possibility of three.
1. Whatever the Satin Silver look will be.
2. A Stealth...cuz duh.
3. Possibly whatever black/stainless there is.
Then I can finally get one (or three) of those cool square Kayfun-wanna-be atomizers that are out there...cuz hell yeah!

Good to see you RyBryLawDudeGuy...well, good to talk to you again...I've been "seeing" you and all the others almost every day.
I'm a shadow...
OOH!!! Vape360!!! Maybe, because the RADIUS is a whole new device, the Stealth version can get a different name...you can call it the SHADOW Series!!!!

My dear dear HBManOfTheCorpseDude, YOU'VE BEEN MISSED! Stick around a spell, won'tcha?? And like you, I've never really felt the need to go boxy. Nope. Just didn't see the need. But then the Mothership comes out with a box and I'm like trembling with anticipation!

DAGNABBIT, IT'S A NEW DAY ALREADY WHERE IS MY RADIUS PORN?? *pant pant hyperventilate*

On an actual serious note, a question about the texture of the polycarbonate body. How deep do the various grooves and recesses and such go? Are the surfaces smoothed and rounded at all? It's hard to tell either way from the pics so far, but it looks...scratchity and scrapity and pokey. Like it would feel all rough and uncomfortable after a while, and leave a series of indents in your hand.

I have an Evic VT and Ego One Mega tank with Ti coils (sensitive to nickel). I was having a connection issue until I put an Delta II on it that didn't connect, and replaced with the old tank and now I'm not having a connection issue (don't ask).

Anyways, it works okay. I don't think TC has completely evolved yet. It will be interesting to see what becomes of it.

I don't know, but I feel the same way about it as you do. I'm just used to smooth metal and not sure about this material.

Wow....yeah, just wow. Humans are odd creatures, aren't they?

@Zen~ I am a lurker, usually, but new products, contests and giveaways get me to post a bit more. I have questions, sure, but I've found that someone will ask the questions that occur to me about whatever is being discussed. I see a lot of discussions go sour (and worse), and I'm glad that I wasn't involved. I just want you to know that I appreciate your efforts to share what you know with those of us that are in 'reading only' mode. And my Kabukis, mucho appreciation for those!

Don't stop believing, hold on to the feeling... What can I say, I'm originally from 'South Detroit'! :)

Heck, I just want to win my Steel Belted Radial Eggplant.

Unless you hold your devices in a death grip, it doesn't seem to me it will be scratchy to hold at all. Maybe that's just me, but I have no concerns about how it will feel in my hand. And this is after all, a Provari. I'm quite confident they've been holding them in their hands for hours on end and if there was any discomfort, it would have been addressed already.

OMG! It has Variable Joule!

You DO realize why YiHi did that, don't you? It was to get around Evolv's patent on temperature limiting. The way it works is exactly the same as setting watts. If you set 30W on an Evolv and fire it for 1 second, you get 30J of energy. The Joules setting only happens in temperature limiting mode, not in standard wattage mode. And, for the record, YiHi are correct - Joules *IS* a more meaningful term when discussing heat energy, so they actually do win.

Same with their Joule counter - MUCH more meaningful than a "puff counter", which tells you nothing but how many times you hit the button. It doesn't tell you how many watts you were using, how much vapor was produced, how many seconds you fired the mod, nothing - useless gimmick (was sad to see ProVape go there). At least the Joule counter has real meaning.

I use temp control all the time. I don't use it with Nickel because I have a sensitivity towards it, so I use Titanium wire. Its a whole new ball park when using that wire; the vape is cool to warm, the flavor is crisp and clean, and you do not need a ton of airflow like when using kanthal at high wattage. My Kayfun V4 is awesome with 28 gauge titanium at 350 degrees. So much flavor :).

Looking at the pics the body looks like it has a softer rubberized coating with diamond shaped texture. I don't think it will be irritating at all.

Could it be that the Radius has something new to add to the game? Seeing as we havent gotten the specs of it yet?

I've been trying to get temp control to work for a year now, but with no luck at all. I've tried everything, the best I've got is 2 days out of a coil before it refines and hits temp at 6 watts and produces no vapour. It's been a really frustrating experience.

Richmond, Va...Right in Altria's back yard.
Someone just posted on fb that they will have a Radius at Vapercon this weekend.Im not going to mention this persons name, because I dont want to get them in trouble if they arent supposed to be showing it, but Im confident it was no idle boast. For all I know, it might even be one of the prizes theyre giving away there.

I will DEFINITELY check it out and let you guys know my impressions of it first hand if youre interested.
