Well if taken to court he couldn't be done for slander calling it plastic, but polycarbonate is like the Rolls Royce of plastic (I'd still prefer a metal body mind ;)) this explains it well.

"Polycarbonate is a versatile, tough plastic used for a variety of applications, from bulletproof windows to compact disks (CDs). The main advantage of polycarbonate over other types of plastic is unbeatable strength combined with light weight. While acrylic is 17% stronger than glass, polycarbonate is nearly unbreakable. Bulletproof windows and enclosures as seen inside banks or at drive-throughs are often made of polycarbonate. Add to this the advantage that polycarbonate is just one-third the weight of acrylic, or one-sixth as heavy as glass, and the only drawback is that it is more expensive than either acrylic or glass.

Polycarbonate is also used in the electronics industry. Apple’s original iMac featured polycarbonate mixed with clear colors for a transparent computer case. Many cell phones, pagers, and laptops also use clear or opaque polycarbonate in their casings."

From Vape360 on pg 68 of this thread:

Good Morning,

Hope you all had a nice weekend.

Here is the plan for this week. We are going to share some pictures of the different models throughout the week. By Friday you will have seen all the different models/images and then the following week is when the full specs will be released along with pricing and pre-order on the website.

We will have more information later this week on the exact date and time for pre-order. I know a lot of you want it all now, but hang in there and let's have some fun this week....I know we are enjoying all the comments and the very creative guessing and photoshop editing :)

Photo Time:

 (I couldn't resist)

This is the ProVari Radius in Onyx Black. The top, bottom and button plate are Stainless Steel and the body is made of a strong and light weight polycarbonate that won't chip, flake or peel (the color is all the way through). The device is very comfortable to hold and no taller than a ProVari Mini. You will also notice the large main button, which is easy to find and comfy as well. For those who like buttons that click, we offer the best of both. The large main button is our classic style button and the two smaller buttons are clicky.

More details later in the week.

Thank you, I certainly missed the post

You're welcome Stan..I have no clue why Provape chose him to do a review (if they did)..he is not known for being a thorough reviewer
and his reviews are not the most informative. He does have his viewers I'm sure, but personally I don't base my decisions on his reviews.

Thanks for copying them over bud, well if it is $170, sweet!

Who at provape trusted him with their spec sheet?

We need details! :pop:
Well, I went, got there early... First in line.

While waiting at the velvet rope, I saw Zen inside... (I had 2 Provi that I wanted to Flat Cap)

Velvet rope falls, I walk straight over to the Vaping God himself. Zen shook my hand. (I was very nervous, but didn't faint)

I introduced myself. He asked who I was on ECF, and I told him. I presented the Patients for rhinoplasty, we chatted.

Rhinoplasty completed. Kabuki Stealth installed. Vapes oh so good!!!

Best VaperCon East 2015 Eva!!!

OK so I will be reviewing Provape's new piece soon. Very soon. But I feel it's gonna be a BIG fail. Plastic device, single 18650,40 watts, and stable down to .3ohm. No temp control. What's the point? Lolololol Maybe it'll change my mind when it gets here. But I highly doubt it. Lol Stay tuned and‪#‎StaySexy‬. Thats what
Vapingwithtwisted420 said.
Sorry for my mistake.

Please forgive.

Thanks, Jim

Totally agree. Should have been PBusardo. Though I find a lot of his reviews long winded, he's very thorough and I think that's the kind of review the Radius deserves/needs.

Yes..he belongs to a tradition in vaping that values power over quality of regulation. And while I have nothing against cloud chasing and high wattage, I don't think this is consistent with what ProVape as a brand came to be associated with. And this doesn't apply only to ProVape..it applies also to the best and most expensive mods in the market.

Ok, since we are on the subject of price and some incorrect info has been posted, we will provide accurate info.

The Radius will be $199.95. This includes the device, a 18650 battery and the charge/data cable :)

As for the polycarbonate, it's very strong material and we have confirmed this with lots of torture testing. Some of you would turn away if you saw what we put these through.

Not anymore Brother... Not anymore.

This one can be counted on!!!
Oh I have all the faith in the world in provape. This move makes me so happy. Before I saw this was coming I was wishing provape would do this. I just love their products. This is exactly what I need and then I can chunk all the rest and get back to the best.

I can also confirm that we didn't ship this reviewer a device. He's likely going to buy one and do a review and is just saying this to get attention.

Twisted says it's for $170????? is this true????????

That's probably the wholesale price, not MSRP. Seriously doubt we'd see a ProVape product that cheap.

EDIT: Just read Vape360's post - MSRP $199.95. Since I'm not a reseller, I don't know what margins are typical for ProVape products, so $170 wholesale is just a guess on my part.
