I think it should be redesigned. If you recall, Zen was speculating about the construction. We now know it doesn't need a hamster and a battery - that's for cloud chasers.
I like Cloudz!!!

But, I wouldn't dirty my beloved's body with some stickers.

No, I would not!

LOLz, Jim

Just as a lipo bag is for...

Lipo batteries

True, but I'd rather use that than a pot. :p

Many fixes their are for a non problem.

Agreed, though I have seen a few batteries vent while charging. One was a newer Nitecore at a vape shop I used to visit a lot. I don't have details on the battery though. Could have been pushed too hard in a mechanical and thrown right onto the charger, or could have been past its useful lifespan, or could have been a clone, but it was at a vape shop.

The Household Oven would prolly be best though.

Unless it was on. ;) Though it might take a chemistry expert to say if the fact that the pilot light is always on in a gas oven, therefore there is more heat and CO2 in there, causes a chemistry issue during charging a battery.

You never know, so it's always best to use things the way they were designed to be used.

Heeeeeeeeey John,

While we discuss this, our idea for a safe battery charging container is being stolen. So...

Ha Ha Ha John, This has been quite a joke.

PS Psssst John, Look for an incoming PM from our patent attorney. Partner!!! Thumbs uP!

So -- the ONLY negatives that I can come up with are the following:

- I'm right handed, so when I go to lay my mod down on a hard surface after taking a vape/etc, it's natural to want to lay it down on the side that has the little "rounded bulge" where the screen is. Which would seemingly make that part of it (and the screen) more likely to get scratches? (There's not a scratch on the Radius yet though - btw). This also makes it a tad wobbly and slippery when layed on that side as well. (VERY SMALL complaint - yes!)

- @Vape360 - It's happened to me a few times now where I take a few pulls in a row and all the sudden notice my draw went cold, and I look down and see the screen scrolling through the (regular) menu -- not an error screen or anything. I'm sure I haven't changed the way I vape from the P3 or the 2.5 I have, and this has never happened to me in the past. And after experimenting with button taps, you can tap 4 times or whatever surprisingly slowly to get into the menu system. If anyone else has a Radius wants to try, I'd be curious to hear their thoughts as well. It might just be something that might only happen to me, but maybe others as well? I'm not sure how i'm doing it when vaping, but apparently I am... haha. Either way -- the BEAUTY is that the Radius is now able to be updated at home on a PC!!!!! Again, honestly I have no explanation for how or why it's happening... Maybe it is an error message and I don't notice the message until it got back to the normal menu system? And its only happened a few times.

Also @Vape360 - is it safe to use a Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 (24 watt) charger to charge the p3? I don't want to fry anything!!!

On another note -- I've been vaping since yesterday afternoon on this charge, and its still showing probably around 60% or so battery left. Good stuff!

***For the record -- I have 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 extremely positive things to say about the Radius. Those two items above are my ONLY even slight complaints!

I totally agree with you about the screen being prone to scratches. I am also tending to lay it down on its raised side, and unfortunately unlike you, I have already developed a minor scuff. To bad the screen wasn't slightly recessed, or made from a more resilient material. I really don't want to put a skin on this, but I don't know what other options are available to me.

Until I can think of something, it looks like I'm going back to my VaporShark rDna as my edc and save the radius for gentle home use only..

What a shame..

ProVape beat us to it. They call it the "Radius" :)

Wouldn't be the first time I had a product idea stolen. I did wait for them to take it to market before posting a very inexpensive, easy to make, DIY version all over the internet so they didn't get any sales and lost investment money. :)

I'm going through a battle with a former partner right now, and by the end of the week will be getting the lawyers involved. That will be a 4-6 month process. I'll break even, and he'll owe a lot in legal fees. Why can't we both just make a little money?

Get a cheap cell phone screen protector, and cut it to the size/shape of the Radius screen. You'll have quite a bit left over to make more too.

Received my Onyx Radius earlier today and have to say I am not a fan at all of the firing button. Getting a lot of misfires and partial fires regardless of how I hold/fire it. I have the same issue with the P3 as well but always assumed it was because of the way I hold it and the small size of the button. ...

Have you tried THIS grip which I have used for quite some time on another mod and know on my R! Just "squeeze". It's even "approved" by Dr. Zen! /lol

Ah ha ... that' what I can do w/ the rest of the screen protector ... protect the screen. I was being a little OCD and thinking of getting a cheap protector and cutting it to the shape of the Radius's bottom. Stick it on - then I wouldn't worry about scratching it when setting it down.
