The high pitch sound is normal. It's been there on the 2.0, 2.5 and P3. It's mostly only something you can hear when in a very quiet room as it's not very loud. This is the power converter, since it runs at high frequencies. It's nothing to be concerned about :)

Aren't most ProVari owners too old to hear it?

Good to know. And I guess there's an advantage to having ears too old to hear high pitched sounds to begin with. Yes, that's uh, right?!

There are advantages to getting older and losing hearing capability. :)

EDIT: Sir Rod beat me to the punch. :)

i haz been beated. Old minds forget alike.

In a couple hours, I will have non-stop (cept when I was a sleeping) vaped on the new Radius on a single charge. I was going through two 18490 batteries a day on my P3. But this Radius battery! To get two days use on a single charge. Man, that's sumpin!

And I'm tired of seeing his snarky, insulting comments get praised, and getting attacked whenever I call him out on it. We are all entitled to opinions, but my opinions are always clearly stated as such, and I never take direct pot shots at anyone.

Just not on this forum. I know you are gone, but I have to call you out on this. You have posted some vile things and I'm sure would do so here if allowed.

Sorry for bringing the thread back to this.

Here are some PBusardo quotes regarding the Radius, makes for a nice little read, gotta love this guy, these are responses to people slating it..
"Ah yes, here come all the "too little too late" comments. I enjoy that one as much as the "<choose device> killer" comments."

"Ah, there's another one. To be honest, I think they could care less about the multiple batteries, high watts, and low resistance party. I think they're throwing their own party and it's about not smoking, not blowing clouds. But that's just my opinion. Who knows what's in their heads."

"It's not necessarily defending. It's getting people to understand that how they vape may not be how everyone else vapes and there's nothing wrong with that. So the "too little too late" concept may be because YOU believe you need high watts and giant clouds, but some people simply don't want to smoke and want their vape experience to as closely resemble the feel of smoking as possible."

I would never condemn a product (or person for that matter) simply because it doesn't have as many watts as the product next to it. For some, it's all they need... and that's ok.

"I too would like to see temp control on it. It's pretty much the only way I vape now."

"Not sure that will ever happen from them Chris. In a way, I respect the direction they've taken. They choose not to play in the watts/ohms game, but rather produce a quality product that is designed to help you not smoke as apposed to blow clouds. Now if they're lacking temp control, that will have me scratching my head a bit, unless they're concerned with the big unknown that is the materials being used for temp control, but I guess you can say that about any of the materials we're using."

The BEST guy to review the Radius!
Now if only some of the folks in here would take a lesson from that. Just because someone vapes differently than the majority in here, they don't deserve the ridicule, criticism and back-handed comments.

Actually, it's not a matter of being "allowed". It's actually my choice what I say...or don't say.
