I'm still thinking about the surface treatment with the triangles everywhere...Carbon fiber reinforced polymer, or resin? I just hope it's really lightweight for its size...

Me to! At first I thought it might be CNC kinda engraving which might come later however the Mothership loves to offer "colors" so your thoughts might be spot on! As long as it's not "slick" since the only slick I ever liked was Grace. /lol

I got this pic from @kates post,
So...latest questions. Why the 'join' and what is this at the bottom and why the 'cut out'?View attachment 495512

First off, it's great to see a USB port :thumb: I hope it's a Data & Charge port.
But that on the bottom looks, to me, like a locking knob. Which would make me believe that the whole bottom cap comes off. :?: So I would think the whole bottom cap comes off to put 2 batteries in

Thanks for posting this Chief. The McDonald's case was horrific. I cringe every time I read someone using the case as an example of a frivolous lawsuit. It's an example of the spin a corporation can put on an incident in the media to misdirect the public from the facts.

During discovery it was revealed that, based on a consultants advice, McDonald's it held its coffee at between 180 and 190 degrees fahrenheit to maintain optimum taste, while being aware that liquids, at 180 degrees, will cause a full thickness burn to human skin in two to seven seconds. Their reasoning was that customers who bought coffee would want it hot when they got home.

It took a lot of PR money to turn this into a joke:

{Moderated}

It is a very sad story.

There is a really good documentary on this and how such cases were used as an excuse to try and gut tort law (think i spelled that right) in the us. they scream crazy judges, big bad govt and folks get distracted when really its just corporations not wanting to get sued.

Yea! It's a locking "lever" of some sort. Might be one on the other side? Remove the base and one half is sealed which contains the chip and electronics/etc. Break the seal and you void the warranty. The other half is for the single bat. That configuration is already used on many single bat Box mods.

I can't imagine ProVape would cut a USB port that 'dirty.' Something doesn't look right there...
I'm thinking that one in the video was made just for me, and it has my name engraved on it. :) So to prevent any jealousy, they covered it with a Carbon fiber wrap ;)

These same istick 50's which have several threads about them autofiring until they vent?
Knock on wood, but I've had mine since they came out, been using it as a daily driver, and haven't had a single issue. No autofiring, no venting, no wonky charging. That may be because I've never pushed it any harder than 25W, and never on anything lower than 0.8 ohms, but they're not all pipe bombs.

That said, I also never said they were perfect, just that dual 18650 is possible in a compact size like what's been shown in the teaser pics we've gotten so far.

Maybe the CNC was down and they cut it out by hand with a Dremel...
I hope it's all steel and this one is painted. Fake carbon fiber seems hokey to me...
I think it's sitting on a charging base...

The deck is stacked against us, partially do to our own actions (2008), and I really don't want to be smoking Marlboro again, four or five years from now.

I have enough nicotine in my freezer to supply myself and good friends into the '30s

You have ProVaris and I'm friends with some modders.
You'll never need another ....in' 'Boro brah :toast:

Hate to be captain obvious but that is in fact a USB port with a led indicator just below it.
--Technology.....love it

I'm not saying it's not a port, but that it is cut out pretty rough...
I'm on a phone so I guess my picture is not as good as you guys. But I don't see a LED :( it looks to me like it got a wrap on it, and the top of the USB wasn't cut out enough, and the bottom was cut out to much
Or is that what you meant Steve?

Remember, the exposure and lighting in the video were done to obscure most details, a teaser, looks could be very deceiving on how well fitted the input connector is...

Maybe ProVape didn't want to show the material it was made of so they wrapped it. Or what's engraved on the sides could be another secret :?:
More I think about it, it's my name :D
