Fanboy banter makes me chuckle. It amazes me that some can have such blind loyalty that faults or substandard areas of an electronics device are actually spun into praise. I like my radius, but I'm not going to hide its faults. So someone gave it a bad review, why should anyone but Provape employees care. All that matters is that you enjoy your device.

I am just posting my opinion about his pathetically lame Radius review ... why would he come in here, trying to justify the negative opinion he has against the Radius ... in the Official ProVape Radius thread?

He could just make another video

So...who's trolling here?

I don't recall twisted talking trash, and it was someone else, not twisted, that posted his review in here. Even his review, while expletive-laden, wasn't talking trash. Maybe from a "Provape-can-do-no-wrong-they-are-perfect-and-anyone-who-disagrees-is-the-enemy", it was, but what I got from his review is that he thought the Radius was a solid mod, but didn't suit his vaping style, and he considered it overpriced. Those are valid opinions from his point of view, even if I don't personally agree with him. Hardly trash-talking.

YEP! I tend to generally agree and I watched Professor @twistedchild316 vid twice. :)

While the liberal sprinkling of expletives you noted is certainly not my cup of tea and in a few cases his "technical" knowledge of the R leaves a little bit to be desired, it's his channel and he did take the time to "understand" and "live with" the device. Professor is a pretty funny "bro" and the ending was quite telling in a good way where Professor essentially said it's about NOT smoking (THR) and whatever device you choose to accomplish this task is fine. For me, it's the totality of the vid which provides my thoughts since their were some sections that were not only funny but slightly unfair with a tad bit of theatrical "bash". Two seconds later it's back to an even keel. That's your persona and I respect that. Watch the entire vid with no kids around :) and you may reach the same conclusion.

As a point of reference Professor, I am NOT and NEVER have been a fan boy with any technology. IMHO, I don't have a burning desire to "defend" the Mothership. Respect and admire, you bet I do. Correct technical errors, you bet I will. Like many here, I own and use numerous other mods along with my gaggle of 2.5, P3, and Radius. I also often vape with my Crown running at 0.50 and 30 watts on my Radius. Yummy :)

Just my 2 cents

:)

What a load of nonsense. People are responsible for their own decisions and are not forced to build lower and lower and run ridiculous amounts of power through a coil. A YouTube reviewer cannot push people into doing anything they don't want to do.
Perhaps you're familiar with the concept of peer pressure? That crazy little social phenomenon that's probably at least partly responsible for most of us taking up cigarette smoking to begin with.

I'd like to see him make a video on Provape fanboys (pretty please?), I bet it would be funny, and maybe a little informative as to why a Provape marketing guy has to go out of his way to make the point that they don't consider themselves "better" than everyone else.
I've always detested the words fanboy & fangirl. It clearly states {IMO} that in order for one to appreciate a product they have to be demoted by the perceived hype machine. I also find it laughable that one thinks in order for their argument to valid they must call someone names.

I cannot afford to be a fan but I can afford quality!

I'm sorry Willy, but I have to disagree with you again. Astro* posted the video and someone told Twisted it was getting bashed. He just came here to defend his right to make a video, however lame. And by lame, I don't mean his opinion, I mean he might have considered making notes to keep on track and reading the manual first, so the menu wouldn't seem confusing. I realize off-the-cuff is his style, so although he did say good things about the Radius, they were buried in his comments about what he didn't like.

*Edit: Oops! Please forgive me Astro, it was raitizz who posted the video.

He didn't say the menu was confusing, just mor complicated than it had to be. We now have 3 buttons, why do we have to wait for settings to scroll to us in order to change them? It's ridiculous in this day an age. I paid for Provape quality and feel I got that, but a modernized screen and menu would be more than welcome.

I didn't care, until someone brought it to this thread ... and IMO, it is not even a half-baked review ... more like a rant against the product.

Wouldn't blind loyalty mean all your mods come from one company and you wouldn't consider using anything else?

ProVari vs. Others is exactly like the Apple vs. Android argument. As a tech junkie, I used Android phones since 2008, preordering the very first Android smartphone ever released (the T-Mobile G1). I stayed with Android up until the release of the iPhone 6. I can confidently state that I will never be going back to Android. The iPhone 6 has been the best user experience I've ever had when it comes to smartphones. What't the point of topped out specs (Galaxy S6, for instance) when the phone lags, has an aggressive RAM management issue and is loaded with more bloatware (can't be deleted to reclaim space, mind you) than useful apps? I got that phone for my wife and had to disable 26(!!!) useless apps that the carrier felt the need to load onto the device.

Anyway, sorry for the off-topic rant. TL;DR: more specs doesn't equate better performance, reliability, or user experience. That's the reason why I prefer ProVari to my higher spec'd mods.

I didn't say that he said it was confusing. He didn't appear to know what all the icons meant, so, to me, he looked confused.

You must look at your screen far more than I do. I set it and forget it. If I switch to a different tank, I click on the preset for it.

Very much this.

I'm personally also not a fan of the twin screws to change the battery, plus the battery cap attached with a wire seems like it might be an issue as time goes on. Also, if they are going to "encourage" the use of usb charging, why not some kind of indication that charging is in progress/complete?

Hopefully the fact that I think there is room for improvement on a good mod won't offend Willy's tender sensibilities :)

I don't think I've seen a youtube vid about a mod yet where someone isn't cursing. Oh well

Then you need to watch vapingpoint. Liz doesn't curse. And I don't recall Busardo cursing, except in his Legal Vape 4000 video.

I can't remember how long I've been using Android & Apple but as simple as the iPhone is I don't think it's hand down better than my Note 5. Many things I can do with the Note 5 requires a bunch of clicking around on the iPhone.....I needssss my back button. :w00t:
But at the end of the day it's about preferences & choices. One phone doesn't fit all just like mods don't.

Provape products are like the iPhone- simple; not overly complicated. It does what it's supposed to do leaving the user feeling content.
