The simple fact of the matter is: Provape does what Provape wants to do.

Now, the logic behind this particular topic is SAFETY. What safety concerns might they have with the P3 using a 40 watt limit?
Well my friend, that would be the limitations of the 18350 battery, which CAN be used in a P3.
I believe it was JohnD0640 who was pushing for an 18650 only version of the P3...which would make 40 watts safe in Provape's eyes, as evident by the wattage limit of the Radius.

Also, not just any battery.

They include a battery they consider safe and encourage users to leave it alone.

For all we know, they are checking each and every one.

You can put whatever 18650 in there that you want, but ProVape has done all they can to keep the Radius a safe vape.

You've got a Radius with an auxillary gas tank! Fabulous.

So far I'm good the Samsung battery life, it lasts all day and I re-charge at night. Curious though, if you only re-charge every other day will you extend the battery life?

No, you will shorten the battery life.

Frequent charging is better.

You absolutely sure 'bout that? From what I've read Lithium Ion battery life is determined by the number of full cycle charges, not by the frequency of charges. But, I have been wrong before and certainly could be in this instance.

Mmm, maybe, but the battery heats up when charging from empty so it should be better for the battery to charge lightly rather than deep charging.

With Christmas coming up, and I wanted to share what I got for myself around last Christmas :)

I call it my Vape Jacket ;)
The Milwaukee M12™ Cordless LITHIUM-ION Heated Jacket, a jacket that you can charge your Radius with

Oh looky!

How to Prolong Lithium-based Batteries - Battery University

"A partial discharge reduces stress and prolongs battery life."

ETA: This is interesting:

"Most Li-ions charge to 4.20V/cell and every reduction in peak charge voltage of 0.10V/cell is said to double cycle life. For example, a lithium-ion cell charged to 4.20V/cell typically delivers 300–500 cycles. If charged to only 4.10V/cell, the life can be prolonged to 600–1,000 cycles; 4.00V/cell should deliver 1,200–2,000 and 3.90V/cell 2,400–4,000 cycles."

Hawaii, but now in cold Illinois
I tried ordering from Sweet Vapes last night, it was around midnight EST and their website was so slow I finally gave up. So happy TO mentioned the coupon for Freedom Vapes today, it ended up being a bit cheaper so I went with them and stocked up on Nautilus coils. I should be good for a while.
Sweet-Vapes shut down last night for the FDA awareness. They are still down trying to spread the message. That's why it was slow.

Check it out: www.sweet-Vapes.com

Is there a way to stop a charge cycle at 4.0 or 4.1 other than watching the charge progress closely?

Not that I can find for our application. The search results are for laptops and a couple for phones.

Somewhere in the Battery University site there is a comment about consumers being more interested in a fast charge and run time, rather than overall battery life.

ETA: I supposed something like this could be used if the timing could be determined. Conserve Socket Automatically Shuts Off Charging Devices After a Specified Charging Time

I'm redundant and clueless, can I still be in the fan club?

It just makes you (and me) a charter member of the club!

Thanks to you both. This is interesting and will change the way I charge my Radius battery, which I don't run down completely, but I have been charging ever other day. Based on this, I'll likely charge it every night, while I sleep. Especially if it will [possibly] increase the life of the battery.
