We had vape showcase here this weekend and my wife was gifted a hexohm. She was so excited about it. Seems she has been wanting one and has never said a word. She is a full time student and since she makes really no money she won't ask for anything. She will just take what I give her. So with that said she did ask tonight what color radius I wanted. Yippy! Might mean she is getting closer to letting me get one. Since she knew I would not get one til I could afford to get her one as well. The wait is getting shorter.

Lem...what the Sam Hill is that horrid thing you have for your avatar ??

A selfie, perhaps?

OOOOOOOOOH! :D

Kat likes it, Classy. I don't know why you wouldn't.

Just for the record, Ms. Classwifey, the DPL doth occasionally bend the truth. (risking redundancy) ;)

I believe that you were really interested in the Radius. I was very interested in the Radius, very excited about it's release. There are several things about the device that don't tick for me too, your observations of the menu, and why they chose not to use the +- buttons to access it is the biggest negative for me. I have had a P3 for several months now, and frankly, I just don't like the scrolling menu. I love the device though.

Lack of being able to use voltage mode, that is a big negative for me, sorry it's just the way I feel.

The battery door. meh, non issue if you ask me. I could get used to that. It is a nice looking device and in reality a very versatile one from all that I have read.

This post is not an attack on Provape, just my current feeling on this device. I think it is a good thing to be able to post what an individual does not like about a product, even more so than the plusses, sometimes it's in the wording that things either get misinterpreted, or the original intent is not purely to share ones thoughts on the subject...

I have pretty much decided to hold off on this device, at least for now. It was fun watching the unveiling and release party, and I am truly happy for everyone who got one and loves it.

E-D, your post SO echoes my own feelings. Of course I was interested in it. It's a Provi! But I have no real deep love for the scrolling menu. I like the old style. Push push push push push, and Bob's someone's uncle.

And what you said about people expressing their opinions is in fact so very true. We're all (for the most part) here because we love our Provape devices. EVERY single one tho? Perhaps not, but that does not, nor should it, detract from those who prefer one over another. I believe in the pure intent to share thoughts about each device. But to come into a thread knowing full well that one does not like it at all and to post to make sure that everyone else knows that?

WHY?

Can you just imagine me (or anyone) going into a Reo thread, for example, and telling our Reonaughti buds just how AWFUL the Reo is?

Geeze Louise. Let me write my obit now.

Seriously???

WAIT! Anybody else (feeling "off")?

@Katdarling - stay tuned. Maybe it's NOT me.

T'aint just you, sweets. Abstolutely an "off" day.

Fondly,

Annie~

It was one of your better efforts. You gave us enough rope to hold a rodeo, but we decided to hang ourselves instead. You gave us a nice countdown and everything.

Then someone reopened a similar one within minutes. I think THAT move may have got your temper flared (understandably).

But the entirety of it was as much laughter as I can remember. And it's been legendary since.

Now THAT was a good ole good Provi bash hate thread!

I know Provape gave about a two or three weeks estimate on the time of arrival for the Radius, but what are people waiting around? How many days did it take for yours to arrive?

Based on what I've seen in this thread, it seems that people have been getting shipping notifications in about 2 weeks, rather than 3. There's no scientific evidence to this, just what forum members have been posting here. I ordered mine on October 28, so I'm guessing/hoping that it ships this week.

This has been my point about him from the beginning. It's fine he does not appreciate the device. It's not for every single vapor on the planet. But why he keeps coming here to tell us what's wrong with it, in a thread hosted by the company who builds it, populated by people who like or at least appreciate it, defies logic and common courtesy.

Can't much blame him for wanting to hang out here. [emoji51]

I was thinking the same thing. It's fine not liking something. I don't like green so I wouldn't buy a green Provari. I don't have to sway others to have the same opinion as I do.

Oh, I have no issue if he wants to hang out. Anyone should be welcome as long as they're not here to disparage the device or Provape. He just shows bad manners in continuing to do so in the manufacturers store. In a forum, we call this type of person a troll.

It's the Bodyguard (for the Golden Helmeted Honeyeater) a silicon, fibreglass, plywood, leather and hair sculpture by Australian artist Patricia Piccinini, part of her Nature's Little Helper series. Her work is amazing and very diverse you should check out some of her other stuff :)

From the art gallery: Bodyguard was designed as a means for protecting the Golden Helmeted Honeyeater, an endangered bird found in Victoria. Very few of these birds are left in the wild because of habitat degradation caused by urban growth. The fierce-looking bodyguard is perched on a custom-made synthetic ‘tree’. Its posture suggests that it is ready to repel both human and non-human threats. It has sharp fangs, a strong jaw, and powerful human-like hands. Its bulging eyes suggest that it is constantly alert.

That's interesting. But as a person's avatar, it's completely creepy. Sorry, but it is........

LOL yeah a lot of her work is on the creepy and bizarre side but so fresh and original and what a wonderful imagination she has! I have admired her and her works for some time now although I would not want a lot of it in my house personally!

She's definitely got the creepy and bizarre, along with it being unique.

My Black Onyx Radius just arrived - woohoo!

My initial thoughts straight out of the box...

1. WOW

2. Ergonomically it feels great in the hand, nice and solid. Smaller than I had imagined as this is my first box mod, but that is a good thing. I see no corners have been cut in the look and feel, it just says "quality"

3. Navigation functionality - love it, flipped to speed 3 straight away for ease of use. Took me about 3 or 4 minutes (maybe less) to input 5 saved setting with my desired wattage and boost levels etc. I have a P3 so it was obviously easier for me to navigate than someone unused to the Provari interface. + and - buttons make changes even quicker.

4. Love the size and feel of the fire button

5. I have V16 firmware so I will be off soon to find someone with a Windows PC. So I can update to V 18.

6. The vape? ...well that will just have to wait a little while longer ;)

I just have a question on the battery indicator ...I know this has been discussed before but don't really want to go back through 560 odd pages LOL

The unit came with some charge, but I am wanting to do a full charge before I start using it. Will there be any indication on the battery/lightning icon to show when fully charged or do I just wait for the 'bar' to fill to the top of the icon? I ask as it seems to be hovering around the half way mark for the last 40 minutes? EDIT - bar is moving up slightly now

EDIT 2 : When all else fails read the manual LOL. It all makes sense now ;-)

Good Evening. I have been following this thread since I found it. I am a dedicated ProVape fan since May 2014. ENAUD was the first post I've seen mentioning the lack of Variable Voltage setting in the Radius. I emailed ProVape in Oct and Kim said she'd pass it along to the proper people, sooo we'll see what happens. Maybe in a future update? I really want a Radius, but I really want VV. I'd buy one (or two) yesterday. I need another place to park my Kabuki P3.

FWIW, you get used to the lack of voltage reading pretty fast. It irritated me at first as well, but now I don't even think about it. Truth be told, I'm not a "vape by the numbers guy" in reality, I just turn it up or turn it down as needed. I could live without a power display of any kind.

I get it, but I'm an Old Fart and I like to shift gears myself. I'm just used to my 2.5's and actually set my power by amperage. It just makes more sense to me. I've been spoiled by the blue LED's.

Oh, me too... But I'm an old enough fart that even though I shift my own gears, I don't even know what gear I'm in... I go by my senses, and there's no calculation that establishes what feels good. To me, anyway.

I have an Old RX7 convertible... Some times I like to go 65mph at 8,000 RPM... sometimes I like to do it at 3,000 RPM ;)
