Mark my words, one day... vaping will be that simple when people let go of the inane need to know everything that is happening, in real time. When more people learn that none of this is anything but gee-gaws and doo-dads, all designed to market the device, then it will change, and it's coming.

That day is here...

I'm just wondering if/when big tobacco takes over e-cigs what kind of inventions they'll come up with. They have millions to spend on market research and product development to come up with just about anything...even something that will be as simple as pulling a cigarette out of a box and lighting the end of it.

Unless I breezed past...(and I AM breeeeezing here)...I can't believe no one has mentioned how FUNNY or at least interesting...or ironic...it is that there's pages of discussion in a ProVape thread about WANTING VV instead of VW.

Not taking a side - I understand, everyone wants what they want (me...I'm kind of in the "up or down, I don't care what the measurement is" camp. I'd use a mod with "Variable Ooomph" if it worked well).

I'm just recollecting DOZENS of threads, arguments, all-out-brawls, in days gone by, as members of the Provarinati explained to people how VW was not better, that the ProVari had not been made obsolete by the advent of Variable Watts. 'Member? Huh? Remember that?
:D:D

Yes - it was the same "what's it matter? VW is just changing the watts FOR you" argument. Yes, it was JUST LIKE NOW, people trying to explain that lack of Temp Control doesn't make the mod "outdated".

Anyway - It's funny to me.

It's evening here - under a normal light bulb - so yes, quite a bit.

Thank you for the picture. My wife really likes her Cabernet and was thinking of getting the Ghost. But now that she's seen how much LED light does come through, she's re-thinking it. She's not keen on having a glowing PV in her hand each time she vapes it.

Yepper, I think I'm ready for that. Once I got past (quickly) stick-batts and eGo's, I went to Provari's, then Mech Mods, then TC mods.

I'm now back to my upgraded 2.0's (full and mini size), P3 and Radius. They've brought simplicity back to my vaping life. I don't really care anymore to fiddle/learn/be concerned w/ watts, volts, joules, temp setting, resistence, wire type, TCR curves, etc.

I just want to vape.

They have 'em lined up already, those groundbreaking innovations.

- Proprietary threading
- Tamper-proof non-refillable cartridges
- ALL SIX FLAVORS!!
- EXTRA long life 1200 Mah batteries!

I want to see volts, watts and adjustments like sports cars have - race, sport, street, etc - for my vape. And traction control too.

Thank you
The traction control could be used while drinking!!!

Fair enough, you're in the drivers seat... how many horsepower is your car using at 55 MPH... How many gallons per hour? How many tire rotations? The driveshaft (or shafts), At what speed are they spinning?

For most of us, you're right - most of those things are unimportant, but a few are important. Too many RPM's before you shift and you blow the engine. Drive too fast and get pulled over. Some data you do need to know. But, if you're a race car driver, or mechanical engineer, you'll want to know a lot more than the average person. That's how I am with my hobbies.

Mark my words, one day... vaping will be that simple when people let go of the inane need to know everything that is happening, in real time.

That will be a sad day for me - I enjoy the tech. But, there is balance in my life - I have both high-tech mods, and mechanicals. I have a fancy digital watch with lots of features, but also an automatic (didn't even want a battery). I spend a lot of time on the computer, but I also go camping in remote places where there isn't even a cell phone signal. Life is much better when there's balance. I only appear crazy on forums! :p

And by the way if somebodies house burns down because they overloaded a circuit, the house isn't up to code.

I don't know much about building codes, but would you consider a faulty breaker as not being up to code? In any case, I live in Los Angeles, and there are a lot of really old houses - like 100 years old. "Up to code" might be debatable, just like (when was it?) pre-1970's cars that don't require seat belts? Then there are those who have owned their houses for 60 years like one of my neighbors, and they're probably not aware of current building codes, or wiring safety, or anything like that.

It's STILL not the fault of the end user that the breaker didn't trip. Unless the end user, though he knew better than the code, and put in a bigger breaker or fuse. A little knowledge is very dangerous, even fatal at times.

True, it's not their fault, but they could have prevented it. Being mindful of power usage, regularly testing breakers, occasionally getting a home inspection, etc. It's about risk assessment and avoidance. But, even with all the prevention, things can happen.

A couple years ago, the lights in my house started to flicker when the microwave was being used. Odd problem. Turns out my nose led me to the burning insulation from one of the main lines feeding the circuit breaker outside. The main screw holding the cable had come loose, causing a high resistance point to develop, causing it to heat up. I called the power company that night (I'm not even gonna mess with that kind of power), who wanted to disconnect power overnight (in winter) until I could call an electrician the next morning. I convinced them I knew what I was doing, only disconnect one of the two lines (and jumper the other), and I'd be mindful of my power usage until I had it properly fixed - and that's what they did.

The vaping public will have high expectations if/when Philip Morris markets an e-cig. The general smoking public wont stand for e-cigs that require any fiddling around, setting watts or volts, dry hits, flooding, or the like. All they'll want to do is pull it out of a box and vape it...just like they do with cigarettes.

If? When? Have you not heard of the appallingly terrible MarkTen?

After they crush and bury any competition they are unable to buy out, perhaps they will re-invent the wheel, re-introducing tanks and refillables after folks get sick of seeing the millions of spent cartos lying around everywhere from the people too lazy to put them in the trash, of course, they have deep enough pockets to push their products through any approval process that the deeming imposes.

Actually, I do know this one. My microwave is 1,000 watts. I have to cook Pop-Tarts longer than my friend whose microwave is 1,100 watts.
You put Pop-Tarts into a microwave? I never thought about doing that. I used to eat them cold at work. It was my daily breakfast. Wish I knew this then. Could have had a hot breakfast.

I think Keurig is looking into a K-Smok machine - can't wait

But doesn't the microwave alter the molecular structure of food?!?
