Does anyone know how long it takes to charge (via USB port) a dead battery to full? Someone yesterday said 20 minutes but I have a hard time believing that.

20 minutes, and the battery explodes. 3 hours is about right when doing the math.

PS - Just did the math, and at the battery's maximum charge rate of 4A (really pushing your luck), it would take 36 minutes, unless the battery explodes and you have to start from scratch ;)

How is 3 hours "fast charging?" I can charge that faster with an external charger.

Edit, I see your edited your post too:)

Weight is about 6 oz -- maybe 6.2? (including battery) ---- Vape360 posted it somewhere on this thread.

Yes, he did (good memory, Tea). By comparison, a Ti with 18650 is 4.8 oz (and a CoolFire IV is 5.3). The Radius might be a bit heavier than I had been hoping for, but I still love the blue.

The battery the Radius ships with is capable of 1A "standard charge" and 4A "fast charge" (maximum). ProVape could have allowed more than 800mA charging, but since they opted to have the battery be user-replaceable, they had to stay under 1A to allow for other batteries that have a 1A maximum charge rate.

Since it charges via USB port, most USB ports only output 500mA, so 800mA is "faster" (not necessarily "fast" though). Likewise, most external battery chargers are less than 800mA, except my Xtar which has two 1A slots - barely faster than the Radius' 800mA.

Now there is at least one charger I know of that can charge at 2A, but that's the exception, not the norm.

And I just can't imagine slapping a silicone sleeve on that beauty, but to each their own.

I'm with you foshure on that. No way, no how, I'm hiding my Radius underneath a silicone sleeve. It's just too perty to hide it.
