Does the PILA Charger let you charge at slower charge rates? The xtar, which I think is also a very high quality charger lets me charge at slower rates, thus my batteries being charged slower, don't get warm.
i believe the PILA is non-adjustable

the spec says ""DC OUT 4.2V/600mA x 2""

Ah yeah ... there's no catching up with Zen.

He has set the bar so high ... my 19 ProVaris are barely scratching the surface :)

He also has them in prototype colors that will never be released. ZenKote™ is pricy and ProVape is likely to be conservative in producing models with that finish. Zen, on the other hand, can make whatever he likes.

I'm trying to quit vaping and break the nicotine addiction. Its makes it more difficult when fancy new devices like this come out because I am drawn to them. They are a cool new tech toy and there's nothing like having a new "best friend" at your side, all day every day to take care of your cravings and provide you with endless hours of enjoyment. I want to quit, so seeing a fancy new provari is just irritating to me because a part of me wants it, but giving in to that kind of desire is counter productive to my goals.
A fancy new vaping device is a special kind of tech toy. Its unique because its very personal to us as vapers. We have it with us all the time, kind of like a cell phone, but these devices create a magic fog that penetrates our bodies, making love to our insides and satisfying our desires for nicotine. Its a magic tech toy that effects the way we physically feel. This adds to the appeal and creates a new level of complexity with regard to our relationships with these devices. The appeal to hardware plays a significant roll in pulling me away from tobacco, but also in keeping me stuck on vaping.
Zero Nic...

You'll have to ask Zen about that one.

ETA: My guess is it's Rose Gold with some kind of pattern etched on it. I could be wrong though. There used to be an Antique Bronze, but it was discontinued (which, of course, means Zen could have one). i haz a wrong.

ZenKote™ is currently available in the following rugged finishes:

GunMetal ZenKote: The depth and look of dark nickel, but as tough as nails.
Gold ZenKote: The look of 24K Gold but tougher than Titanium . Don't confuse this finish with Gold Plating... it's MUCH more than that!
Aluminum Graphite ZenKote: Our first ZenKote™ designed exclusively for coating ALUMINUM!
Rose Gold ZenKote All the luster of rich Rose Gold but with a wear resistance greater than carbide.
Byzantium Princess ZenKote™: A really rich Purple that is just stunning!
Obsidian ZenKote™ A deep dark favorite that has a rainbow fade on flat sections... truly beautiful.

No child is born hating anybody! Discrimination is the result of a child learning what and who to hate as is demonstrated in the child's environment during the formative years.
We quite literally "teach" our children discrimination. Not by sitting them down and giving them a talk on who they should hate, but by putting them in the environment where they can see hate, as it's happening.

People need to learn that even though THEY have become crippled by the hate which is present in the environment, that they will ONLY end the cycle of hate by not being hateful and discriminatory in front of their children. This basically means they need to stop discriminating. There are no spoken words that can stop it. The unspoken words of hate are what will put an end to it. This isn't for the impatient... It will take a couple generations of awareness... it cannot be overturned in a single generation.

I did not mean to imply, nor did I say, that we are born hating anything or anybody.

What I meant was that, for whatever reason, there are those that need to hate it would seem.

And I'm not sure that there is anything one can do for some in that regard.

But if there is an answer it would be found in how we raise our children, just to clarify.

If people would think about how they themselves would feel if someone did stuff to them.
I never tolerated bullying or making fun of other kids. Even when just talking about kids at school. I told my kids "how would you feel if someone said the same thing about you?". I made them put themselves in the same boat. To really think about if it was them on the receiving end.

I'm very proud of my kids. They stick up for the underdog. When I was growing up, I was the child that was picked on and made fun of. I guess I live by the 'Golden Rule'. Always have, always will.

Sorry this is so late in the conversation, I'm just getting caught up. ;)

Thanks. I'm down to 1.5mg nic, which of course is very low. My nic dependency seems to be hanging on by a thread, but that last thread is a strong one. I am not as motivated by physical cravings as I once was, so interesting things have happened. For instance, I was cleaning my Kayfun to prepare it for re wicking, and as I was rinsing it out I realized I was doing it out of habit and not because I had a nagging nic craving forcing me to do it. I saw the air holes in the K4 and, without even trying, the thought came to my mind, "why do you choose to suck air through those metal holes?"
It felt odd to me that I would choose to breathe though a fancy, complicated metal straw and I felt that I wouldn't do that under any other circumstance and I really knew that I only do these strange things because of the nicotine addiction. It directs my thoughts, controls my actions, and spends my money for me on things I don't really want. I am breaking this.

Funny you should say that. When I smoked my job was to smoke. It didn't matter what else I did with the day as long as I smoked it was a successful day. That was not a good feeling, being aware that my entire raison d'etre was to purchase and consume cigarettes.

Thank the Lord and little green aliens for vaping.

That's the "Tele-Vari"... it was a body made by Kato into which you sacrificed a ProVari board to create a device that would telescope from 350-490 size, or with an extension it could go to 650. Very few were made with Titanium Nitride tool coating and that is one of them.

At the time, the ProVari was $179 and the Tele-Vari body was $220... it made for a darned expensive device at just shy of 400 bucks! I feel VERY lucky to have that.
