A friend of mine was in Germany for a few days and he picked up a Radius. I got to hold it, play with it, vape it and here are my observations. It has the usual high Provape quality. The SS is machined perfectly and the polycarbonate feels very nice. It's hard as nails and has a nice warm feeling. On to the menu... why oh why aren't the + and - buttons used? It's still a one button menu. What year are we living in, 2007? It's also an ergonomic nightmare and shows a complete lack of understanding of interface design. Provape really dropped the ball. The bottom plate... it's a pain in the buttocks, it really is imo. They could have done the same design with just one big thumb screw. I fail to see what the point is of having two small thumb screws. One big thumb screw also makes changing the battery faster (and why is the spring so big?). All in all, on the surface it's a nice box mod with some serious shortcomings.

Don't you change the W with the + and - ?
The big spring is to hold the minus connector of the battery firmly in place for better conductivity.
I'd assume Provape has a good reason for 2 screws.
I dunno, I like the P3 menu, I mean I have no problems with it. Less buttons - less things to go wrong.

Just a couple of questions for the peeps seeing performance drops on their ProVaris.
Is it battery drop or limiting that is occurring?
I only ask because that was the first thing that seemed possible (to me) which might be happening.

I prefer the single button menu options, on the Radius, to the multi-button menu of the SX Mini myself.
You scroll through, make your choices, no click clicking all over the place. The streamlined menu, compared to the P3, isn't particularly onerous.
Power is isolated to the Two smaller buttons. This works well for me.

And regarding the + and - buttons, it really bugs me to no end they used the traditional Provape switch for the fire button and clicky ones for the + and - buttons. It's probably due to space restrictions but just takes away from the overall feel of the device. They just don't feel right on a ProVari.
Funny how different people perceive controls. In both your posts today, I couldn't disagree more with your assessment of the menu or the buttons. I love the large single main settings/fire button and the clicky + - buttons are simply perfect in their feel and operation. On the + - buttons, they permit adjustment in finer increments, as opposed to a soft push button that would tend to scroll through wattage adjustments. I don't think you'll find many, if any here who think Provape "dropped the ball" or who believe it's an "ergonomic nightmare" or even more amusingly, Provape has a "complete lack of understanding of interface design."
So thanks for dropping by. Now that you've held one and didn't care for it much (I do give you points for commenting "it's the usual high Provape quality,") I fail to comprehend why you are so determined to continue coming here to say how this device doesn't do it for you. We get it. Provari isn't for you. Why you feel so compelled to keep popping in to say so, just doesn't make sense.

That I would kind of agree with. Not that it feels cheap: I just don't like clicky buttons.
Thank you Lem for pointing out the Radius flaws that 99.9% couldn't careless about. Did you consider that each click you hear the Radius just moved the wattage up or down 2/10 of a watt. Gee going from 10.6 watts to 11 watts is just 3 simple clicks which you can hear. Two thumb screws to hold the end cap on square and tight. After all it has to secure that strong spring.
In case anyone hasn't found their way over yet, the Not Specific to any Provari thread has been renamed (Thank you Bronze for the suggestion!)
