When I first saw that name (before it was even released) I was convinced it would fail due to its name alone.kayfun (pronounced kai-FOON) is a Russian slang term to describe an extreme state of enjoyment.

And nothing in vape gear has been copied more (complete or in part) than the kayfun. Easily one of the most revolutionary pieces of vape gear to come along."if you build it [something good], they will come!"
And so they did build something good. And so we came!

Just about any tank these days is a variation of the Kayfun to meet whatever needs each individual has.Completely agree. It's time however for a major update. The air flow on a stock KFL+ and the supplied drip tip are not nearly open enough [for me at least]. Something with the same simplicity, but more air would be welcome. Oh and easier to refill. Mustn't forget that. I still maintain the K4 is too complicated for my pea-sized brain. The KFL+ is simple, rugged and well built.
Oh, and when the KFL came out it was considered complicated and scared a lot of people away.![]()

I must've built mine 40 X's (no exaggerating) before I got it right.I can certainly understand that and why. It hasn't been a full year since I got my first one and tbh, I was terrified to build a coil on it. If it weren't for the support of so many here, I would have likely never gotten one.

All this time, and still learning! So many here sent me pictures, wrote me how to's and suggested the tools I'd need, so I was lucky that my coils worked pretty well. But the first one's took me a long time to build as I was so slooooooooooowwww. Now, I can a build a coil quickly and easily. That is a simple coil. I build using 28 gauge kanthal on a 2.5mm rig and aim for about 8 wraps for a 1.4 - 1.5 ohm coil. Anything more complex and I'd be hopelessly lost.
My very first coil build was on my Russian 91%. I also watched a couple of YouTube vids and wrapped a coil. It was 1.8 ohm and vaped better than anything else I've used up until that point. This is why I'm slightly skeptical about the Kabuki, despite the fact that I trust the recommendations of everyone on this thread (I have a Kabuki P3 coming to me on Monday). I'm currently running a 1.3 ohm build, which vapes phenomenally. I can't even imagine better flavor that a Russian/Kayfun.

Knock it down to 5/6 wraps, which will get you 1.2-1.3 ohm, and run at our favorite of 10 watts...
I don't know why but it's just THAT much better this way.
