When I first saw that name (before it was even released) I was convinced it would fail due to its name alone.

"if you build it [something good], they will come!"

And so they did build something good. And so we came!

And nothing in vape gear has been copied more (complete or in part) than the kayfun. Easily one of the most revolutionary pieces of vape gear to come along.

Completely agree. It's time however for a major update. The air flow on a stock KFL+ and the supplied drip tip are not nearly open enough [for me at least]. Something with the same simplicity, but more air would be welcome. Oh and easier to refill. Mustn't forget that. I still maintain the K4 is too complicated for my pea-sized brain. The KFL+ is simple, rugged and well built.

Just about any tank these days is a variation of the Kayfun to meet whatever needs each individual has.

You always know something is great when everything that follows is compared to it...good or bad.

Oh, and when the KFL came out it was considered complicated and scared a lot of people away. :)

I can certainly understand that and why. It hasn't been a full year since I got my first one and tbh, I was terrified to build a coil on it. If it weren't for the support of so many here, I would have likely never gotten one.

I must've built mine 40 X's (no exaggerating) before I got it right.

There are really only three bits to the KF4 that you have to deal with on a regular basis, it's really not that bad. The exploded diagrams make it look more complicated than it is.
Its a deeply unfashionable tank, but I've found it a good performer. I'm sure that Svoemesto have learned a lot from its reception and I fully expect whatever they come up with next to be brilliant(fingers crossed:)).

So many here sent me pictures, wrote me how to's and suggested the tools I'd need, so I was lucky that my coils worked pretty well. But the first one's took me a long time to build as I was so slooooooooooowwww. Now, I can a build a coil quickly and easily. That is a simple coil. I build using 28 gauge kanthal on a 2.5mm rig and aim for about 8 wraps for a 1.4 - 1.5 ohm coil. Anything more complex and I'd be hopelessly lost.

I watched 2 videos, then wrapped my first coil on a Kayfun.

It vaped like a boss ... been making them the same ever since.

My very first coil build was on my Russian 91%. I also watched a couple of YouTube vids and wrapped a coil. It was 1.8 ohm and vaped better than anything else I've used up until that point. This is why I'm slightly skeptical about the Kabuki, despite the fact that I trust the recommendations of everyone on this thread (I have a Kabuki P3 coming to me on Monday). I'm currently running a 1.3 ohm build, which vapes phenomenally. I can't even imagine better flavor that a Russian/Kayfun.

All this time, and still learning!
Knock it down to 5/6 wraps, which will get you 1.2-1.3 ohm, and run at our favorite of 10 watts...
I don't know why but it's just THAT much better this way.

Well, this is to you and Willy, but I was not so confident about building a coils. Freaked me out, tbh. But my first coil worked great and it was so much better than any Nauty or Kanger system I had vaped, that I never looked back. UNTIL........

I kept reading about the Kabuki and people glowed in the dark. And I thought, uh, really? A bvc coil can't do this. But then people I know and trust starting really liking it, so I had to get one for myself. And it's become my atty of choice. It really is that good.

Next time I get the hankering to build a coil, I'll give that a try. I have less motivation to do so these days as the Kabuki just makes me happy. Yes it does!
