Well I've made my 5 posts and can now post here instead of the "New Member" forum! Thanks to Imagine who prompted members to reply to my questions there, as well as those who discussed them here (except for one who can just go "dewey decimal" hisself, of course ).

Question: will any of these shipments coming in contain a new PCC for the longer batts? If not, is there an ETA for larger PCCs? I ask because I really think (but I could be wrong...) that I'll want the PCC to carry around with me away from home. I'm currently a 1.5-2 PAD Newport Lights smoker and expect to vape more often than 2 batts will last without re-charging.

Also, I'm buying for two: one of my drinking buddies also would like to start, but he is a real Luddite (no computer/Internet, ancient "dumb"' phone, etc.) and I'll end up being a "reseller" with only 1 customer. I guess he'll need a wall charger in addition because he doesn't really have anything to plug a USB cable into.

I'm afraid if things don't work smoothly for him the first time, he'll easily give up. But at least then I'd get a second kit for half-price...:p

Welcome Resnbl glad you made it  PCC's for the 78mm should be in by the end of the month they are in production now :)

you may want to get your friend the standard kit instead of the PCC kit with maybe an extra battery instead of the PCC.... that way he just charges on the wall...and done and later he can get a PCC .... but he might be jealous of yours lol

Welcome Res!!

One mistake I made in my early vaping days, way before the Volt, was running down 2-3 batteries at a time before getting any of them onto a charger and at that time, I could only charge one battery at a time. What I learned was that I would eventually be sitting around babysitting my charger, take one battery out & put the next one in, with nothing to vape for several hours. I realized I had to figure out a way to be able to get a battery into a charger as soon as possible after it had run down and/or have more than one way at a time to charge batteries.

I hope you don't think the longer batteries are going to solve this problem. The longer a battery lasts to vape, the longer it takes to recharge.

If you watched my Volt video review, you may have noticed I sort of poo-poo'd the PCC. But since then I bought a 3rd battery, leave the PCC hooked into the USB on my computer when I'm at home, to keep it fully charged, and one battery in it. I also then have the USB charger hooked into a wall-adaptor so I can charge a battery there. I also have a car cigarette-lighter USB adaptor so I can charge a battery or the PCC on-the-road. I'm totally covered and this is using the current shortie batteries.

The longer batteries are just going to give you an extra 1/2 hour or so, but you're still going to have to have a recharging strategy. For me, I must know there is a charged battery in the house 24x7. It's like in my smoking days when I always had to know there were cigarettes in the house 24x7.

Again, welcome!!

i agree an extra charger or 2 whether USB or PCC is great idea....not only to make sure you always have a charged batt, but in case there is malfunction of the charger...you could be left without anything to power it. Our warranty will cover those defects, but you would be out of luck till it shipped to you. I am very clumsy and have been known to knock the USB charger out of the computer breaking the prong etc... so for me extra are a must have lol

I was at work today and was taking a break, vaping just outside the door. Smoker bud comes out and see's my ego clone....of course I'm explaining all the ins and outs. I mentioned I have a new ecig coming to me soon and explain the Volt and he already wants to see it as soon as I get it. Took me less than 5 minutes to convince him to give it a try. He has a 3 month old son and really needs to drop stinky stix.

This is gonna be fun.

@steeljan and @imagine: I'm thinking now that I'll get a standard starter kit with larger batts now (waiting for the PCC until they're available), and with the savings buy a PT. I do spend an inordinate amount of time at the computer, so the PT can be used there while the batts get charged.

BTW, can anyone recommend a car USB adapter that supports the PT? I understand they draw quite a bit of current and not just any adapter will do.

sounds like a plan :)

We are actually going to be putting up a car charger that fires our new regulated PT...should be up when the rest of the stuff is up :)
