I want to thank everyone for the positive waves sent out this week - my husband was just offered a full time position in one of the most prestigious kitchens in our area - coincidence? Maybe, but thanks anyway, guys. Have a Voltastic day!
See???
Things really do happen for a reason. Congrats!

These tests were done with 2 volt "sealed" auto shorties with a volt carto at 3.4ohms. Hope no one minds I don't do videos, trying to save as many cameras as possible from my ugly mug.

How do these batts work? Instead of having a hole in the center of the post they have two smaller holes on the side. This doesn't make them unkillable by any means, but makes them much harder to kill. A slight overfill has no affect on them, but a major one could very easily still get juice into the batt itself.

Voltage output on battery 1 was 3.57v on load, and on the second was 3.61v on load. Both right in the range of fault tolerance, and they maintained this voltage until just before the end of life, last puff recorded as 3.23 on batt 1, and 3.21 on batt 2. Average run time of the batts were 175 minutes on batt 1, and 170 on batt two with chain vaping. This is higher than most gen 2 batts I've tried, but will note this is the highest ohm horizontal coil carto I've seen to date, and that does factor in. Each carto from the pack of blanks ranged between 3.3-3.5ohms, which was why I went with 3.4. Now for the big detail...

Draw- In comparison to an unsealed auto with 4 side intake holes the draw is much tighter. Some will prefer this. This one only has two holes around the collar, but even in comparison with an unsealed auto batt with only 2 holes it's still tighter. It's much more like a manual battery. What you give up in draw you gain in protection of the batt though.

All in all, not a bad addition to the volt line up. Think some will still prefer the draw on the unsealed batts in comparison, but for those using the condom method to refill these batteries are a must.

This makes me think the unsealed batteries should remain in stock, not be replaced by the new ones.

Was reading the contest thread and liked the idea of a contest where SI customer service personnel would pick top winner. :thumb: THEN random drawings or whatever for the rest. :)

Impartial opinions and no hurt feelings that way. Better than just random drawing or most likes and would inspire people to do their best, not just the most entries. :p

I saw so many objections to the Likes to decide a winner. I never felt the Likes were a popularity contest but more like a vote of the populace. I always Like posts I like, not just the ones of the most popular members. In fact, in contests, I usually read the entry before even looking at who posted it. I never won any of the contests, so this is not because I was a winner. However, one problem with the Like system is that sometimes I won't get to read the last few entries before the contest closes. The last one, I only managed to Like those before the contest closed because Imagine gave us a bit more time to do that. I enjoy that I have a very tiny say in what I think is best.

Here's the best pic I could get with the provari and the volt carto attached using my craptastic phone. This was using the ohm checking function of the device.

Me too. I like the way the current auto draws right now. Havent had a chance to try the new ones yet but order should arrive tomorrow or Monday, so I'm anxious to compare them myself.

Does mail run on Monday, being Columbus Day?
I ordered and was hoping to get it Monday, was very disappointed when someone pointed that out to me. :(

That is really great new Samuraijill. It is a reeeaally tough job market. And thanks everyone for the good vibes sent in my direction as well. My son-in-law has been unemployed so long that he's lost all hope and gumption.

Well, now I'm really anxious to try the sealed autos as well. I love my autos with their perfect draw. The look, the feel - everything about them. They are a tough act to follow. If the draw on the sealed batteries is equivalent to the current autos, that would be unbelievably wondrous. *Who talks like that?! Me, I guess - What a freak!*

And - The last time an insurance agent looked at my car, he asked if I wanted to get all of that hail damage fixed. I politely declined because I know it isn't hail damage. It's black walnut damage.

Nope - no mail on Columbus Day. :(

So that's why my replacement battery won't get here till Tuesday!

I got one of the new sealed autos and it worked great, except the led didn't work. Weird. But SI's CS took care of it and a replacement is on the way.

The 65mm is slightly shorter than the regular autos. I like that, and wonder if the 78mm are also a little shorter.

Very happy to see so many, especially some of the new "Voltians" - pick-up the "Fluff" while I was away . . . :)

Glad to hear that everyone is (and their families/friends/pets are) doing better and/or well (respecitively to the story) . . .:thumbs::thumbs:

As for the Flavor "Mistakes" - there is nothing for me to say . . . :(

However, for the conversations about ""Back Yards" - "NUTS" . . . View attachment 56782
