not to mention supplements and caffeine/energy products are not regulated and many are geared toward the youth...

I have to tell you a red bull affects me way more then nicotine :p

What are the toxic ingredients they mention? Do they even know if there are any? I've wondered that myself. Not the nicotine, but the other stuff. Has anyone studied how safe it is? I know they say it's safer than analogs, but how safe is that? Do e-cigs actually lead kids to smoke analogs? How do they know?

I guess its sort of like neutraceuticals (things like glucosamine and chondroitin that help with arthritis). No one studies them much because they aren't produced by the big pharmaceutical companies, so who will pay for the research? I think they tried to outlaw those, too, since not enough research had been done, but the public made such a stink they decided not to.

I never knew much about Red Bull, not ever having consumed it, but since you mentioned it, I looked it up, and gool ol' Wikipedia gave a good account: Red Bull - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

So, apparently, they have had problems getting legalized, too, though they probably have more money behind them to do it. I was recently told by my doctor that caffeine negates the effects of hydration that drinking a liquid should give you, so if you want to be hydrated, don't consume caffeinated drinks.

The fact that Red Bull, with all their money, got accepted as safe, makes me wonder if e-cig companies should band together and create a pool of money to lobby for acceptance or research or whatever is needed so the FDA doesn't just ban them outright. It's easier for the FDA to ban something till proven innocent than to figure out what hazards are actually there. Some scientific well-conducted studies on the health hazards of the ingredients might help. And lobbying also is something to think of. How did the public stop them from banning neutraceuticals? OK, I'll try to find that out. It might be good to know.

They're still harping on the miniscule amount of antifreeze they found in cartridges some years ago. I don't believe it's been found in any more product since!
Sheesh, talk about beating a dead horse!

I thought they never found antifreeze in e-cigs, just propylene glycol, which is in antifreeze but is also in many other products such as baby lotion.

As for the other carcinogenic ingredients, I'd like to see how they compare to stuff we eat or inhale all the time.

Here's a great read when you have a few minutes -Electronic cigarettes as a harm reduction strategy for tobacco control: A step forward or a repeat of past mistakes?

The way I understand the antifreeze controversy was that the FDA found diethylene glycol in very low amounts in one out of 18 samples that came from 2 companies. The levels were so low that (again as I understand it) someone would have to drink gallons of the contaminated e-liquid before the level of DEG would be at a level considered toxic. DEG was only found in that one FDA test and has not shown up in any other tests done since, and was only detected in the liquid (of one sample), not the vapor.

this is the most frustrating thing we are going through at the moment. We definitely know it is an issue. Here is what is happening in a nut shell...

We are increasing our orders by double and triple.... yet we are outgrowing that pace everytime....so keeping up with the rapid growth is very tricky lol not a bad thing to complain about but it is causing some issues.... that and the manufacturing times have slowed every time we place a bigger order... originally our order times were much quicker ....as our orders expand so does production times.... add that to the mess China is having with customs you get our shortage issues.

So we can either through our hands up in the air or do what we are going to do in the new year....

We have placed an order that will basically keep us fully stocked through Jan-March it is an extremely big order. We will be taking shipping out of the hands of the factory and air freight it over directly to us....

So Please bare with us while we try and get all these kinks worked out... We are working on them :)

I hope you are planning for the Chinese New Year. Everything shuts down over there for two weeks, and everything is so rushed leading up to it that quality tends to go in the toilet.

Another member ask if I could post some pictures of how to test the cartos from Smokeless Image with a multimeter. I took some pictures and basic instructions on how to test them.

Figured I mention it in this thread, in case anybody else wanted to see how to test them. Hope some of you find it helpful.

And why are they selling to kids when the legal limit for analogs and other nicotine products is 18? They need to get their priorities straight and go after the perps not the product! Kids are getting cigs and beer and hard alcohol all the time. When I was a teenager, that was the big game to see who you could get to go in and buy your cigs and beer or do it yourself and "act" 18.

I use 510 bat to 808 carto all the time. Those are pretty expensive since I only paid $1.99.

I want to do the opposite. I want to use 808 bat to 501 carto. It looks like this adapter would work. I was wondering if anyone has had success using one. But it you are able to do the opposite, then it should work.
