I'm having a problem with the new pcc.. not sure if I'm doing something wrong or not.. it charged a battery just fine (when it was plugged in and charging at the same time), but just put a battery in to the case to give the 1st real charge. The blue status bar is full the red status bar varies between 2 and 3 bars for my 78mm battery). The led on the battery will be lit for about 5 seconds, then it will blink and there will be a little battery with a line through it displayed on the pcc and it will stop charging. The batteries have been charging fine on the wall charger and the usb charger so not sure what's up =/

I'm a sucker for tech stuff, so I got the pcc. Now I have 2 pcc's and my Power Pack. Before long I will be able to run my entire house from my charging stuff.

Retriever, you're a hoot! lol But your posts about the Power Pack made me give it more thought and I've decided to get one.

A few years ago when the remnants of hurricane Ike went through here I was w/o power for 4 days, some folks longer than that. Most shops were closed, so you couldn't even buy stuff. Even if we never have another emergency as bad as that one I think the Power Pack will be a more convenient way to charge batts.....because of the location of the outlet I can't keep my usb hub on the desk.

I read that Fost is working on a solar power pack. That would be an awesome backup unit to have!

You never know when you may be desperately wishing that you had a power pack. A couple of years ago we had an ancient white oak keel over and simultaneously destroy our electrical pedestal, our propane tank, and our well! Of course, it was February and only 13 degrees outside. We had no power for several days because no one could work on the electrical pedestal with a busted propane tank so close by. That's the Bainbridge Volunteer Fire Department trying to figure out what to do in the pic. Eventually they decided that there were no options available other than reeaaalllly heavy equipment and refraining from smoking.

If there's any way you can swing it - Get A Power Pack!! I have one that I purchased a few years ago and they are wonderful!

Thanks to everyone whose helping me understand exactly what all this 'vaping lingo' is all about. LOL, there are sooo many acronymns in this community sometimes I feel like I'm having to learn a new language! :w00t:

Rave, Are you referring to this:
Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | Power Pack - Accessories
?
I've been snooping around the Volt site for weeks now, and I think this is newly added? It is definitely worth looking into!

Retriever and Wuzzy, your advice is taken to heart! I think I'll have one asap! And thanks too about the pc advice. I do
sit in front of the computer for hours a day, and that would have been an option had you not warned me.

Another question though, heard several of you talking about 'Fost' WHo, or what, is Fost?

Yeppers - That's the one. Fost is the manufacturer of this power pack. :)

Thanks for the info. I read reviews of several in this price range, trying to decide. With the Brother label makers, the main complaint seems to be that it wastes expensive tape. Is it necessary to use laminated tape? And I couldn't find out if they had white printing on clear tape available. The tape that seems most popular is black print on clear tape. On a black carto, that would be useless.

There are others that probably work better for $100+, but I think buying some sort of pen would be a lot cheaper and simpler to use. Remember the alarm clock?

Under the default settings, it will. It's gotta be tweaked. We use them all the time here at the Company and keeping tape on hand is hard when the bosses are cheapskates.
BTW, the reason I like the USB/PC version is for the graphics capabilities and pretty much unlimited font types and sizes. I prefer Scripts and Calligraphic fonts. Be careful, some of the handhelds can be VERY limited and, remember, you get what you pay for.

As many of you know, I'm fairly new to vaping, and feel comfy asking a question that might otherwise sound silly. My ability to ask noobie questions in the'noobie' section has expired...
So, I'll get to it.
Could someone please explain to me what is a 'passthrough?' What does it do and why would I use one?
Thanks in advance kind souls!

BTW, wanted to add that the USB hub MUST have external power adapter (wallwart) and should be 1a-1.5a rated. 500ma would be too low and may not fire properly if at all. Just thought that may need clarification.

Anyway, I bought all the gadgets for "powered" vaping. I use a passthrough at the PC on a powered hub and on the couch watching TV. I got the 1.5a wall adapter for the couch, which I hung on an extension cord and hid behind a picture frame on the lamp table. Slap a "tank" of your favorite juice on it and your "cookin' in crisco". ;)

Had to post... a little hump day reading :p

QUESTIONS THAT HAUNT ME! (a little long but worth reading to the end!)
Can you cry under water?
How important does a person have to be before they are considered assassinated instead of just murdered?
Once you're in heaven, do you get stuck wearing the clothes you were buried in for eternity?
Why does a round pizza come in a square box?
What disease did cured ham actually have?
How is it that we put man on the moon before we figured out it would be a good idea to put wheels on luggage?
Why is it that people say they 'slept like a baby' when babies wake up like every two hours?
Why are you IN a movie, but you're ON TV?
Why do people pay to go up tall buildings and then put money in binoculars to look at things on the ground?
Why do doctors leave the room while you change?
They're going to see you naked anyway...
Why is 'bra' singular and 'panties' plural?
Why do toasters always have a setting that burns the toast to a horrible crisp, which no decent human being would eat?
If Jimmy cracks corn and no one cares, why is there a stupid song about him?
Why does Goofy stand erect while Pluto remains on all fours? They're both dogs!
If corn oil is made from corn, and vegetable oil is made from vegetables, what is baby oil made from?
Do the Alphabet song and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star have the same tune?
Why did you just try singing the two songs above?
Did you ever notice that when you blow in a dog's face, he gets mad at you, but when you take him for a car ride, he sticks his head out the window?
Why, Why, Why do we press harder on a remote control when we know the batteries are getting dead?
Why do banks charge a fee on 'insufficient funds' when they know there is not enough money?
Why does someone believe you when you say there are four billion stars, but check when you say the paint is wet?
Why do they use sterilized needles for death by lethal injection?
Why doesn't Tarzan have a beard?
Why does Superman stop bullets with his chest, but ducks when you throw a revolver at him?
Why do Kamikaze pilots wear helmets?
If people evolved from apes, why are there still apes?
Why is it that no matter what colour bubble bath you use the bubbles are always white?
Is there ever a day that mattresses are not on sale?
Why do people constantly return to the refrigerator with hopes that something new to eat will have materialized?
Why do people keep running over a thread a dozen times with their vacuum cleaner, then reach down, pick it up, examine it, then put it down to give the
vacuum one more chance?
Why is it that no plastic bag will open from the end on your first try?
How do those dead bugs get into those enclosed light fixtures?
Why is it that whenever you attempt to catch something that's falling off the table you always manage to knock something else over?
In winter why do we try to keep the house as warm as it was in summer when we complained about the heat?
How come you never hear father-in-law jokes?
And my FAVORITE.........

'Assassination' is a subset of 'Murder.' An assassination is the murder of a public person or a hired-out murder. Importance of a person is generally irrelevant to the definitions' of either word.

But I think you were just being clever, ha.. thanks for the fun post :) I'll resist my strong philosophy-major urge to explain some of the others. Thanks again.

Waiting for my SI order with great anticipation, can't wait to put this tobacco down.

Yeah, me, too. Not a philosophy major, but about the strong urge to answer them. OK, a question. If assassination is the murder of a public person, doesn't being public make that person important? Unimportant isn't noticed, right?

I especially liked the question about why we had to sing the song. Like the writer of the questions knew we would. How predictable are we?

Rave, I must say I find Lexi irresistible - love seeing her beautiful face in your Avatar

Awww - Thanks! She IS irresistible. Still trying to figure out why she was abandoned at a shelter. It makes no sense to me. For any of you that may think that pound/rescue dogs are there for a good reason (they must have some huge issues), please reconsider. My Lexi is living proof. How many dogs do you know that can use their lip as a leg warmer?

Imagine - The kitty compassion avatar is adorable and the Hump Day Reading was excellent!

I love the lip! I'm guessing that she might have been abandoned because the owners couldn't deal with her dependence on company. What if it was a couple who both worked and no one was home all day? Many dogs get nervous and can't handle that, and then they start destroying the house. Those dogs often get chained in the yard during the day, but if then she barked and disturbed the neighbors or if this hypothetical couple didn't have a yard, what could they do?
