Thanks for the suggestions on my failing battery, I'll try that tomorrow and let you know.

The Volt's really don't burn like normal cartos. I actually TRIED to get one to burn, it took some effort, and didn't burn until a few drags after being completely dry. I really don't see how you could burn these, as long as any amount of liquid is in them.

And actually, the rubberized finish was a selling point for me:) Love it.
I've burned ONE. Don't know how, but it happened. But other than that, the other 9 that I started with last month are still going strong, after being cleaned once or twice a week! I would've gone through 30 by now, with the old-school brand I was using.

so quiet in here - I think everyone is catching up on their sleep awaiting all the new goodies to come in:)
Yep - That's what I'm waiting for - nearly salivating for that green battery. There is a massive gap in my Volt collection.

I created the holder out of a .40 Smith & Wesson ammo holder that I covered with automotive vinyl.

OMG those are gorgeous!!!!!! My hubby thought I was crazy when I asked him for an ammo box:)
Ha ha - My son thought I was nuts too!! One word of warning: They tend to have balance issues if you load all of the PV's to the back without counterbalancing the front. The solution for me was to put four little globs of Sticky-Tac on the bottom. Now the unit doesn't budge unless I want it to.

Here's your "on the scene reporter" from about 85 miles North of the earthquake epicenter:
The walls of my house shook for a number of seconds.
We almost never get earthquakes here, and those we do get are so minor they are rarely even felt.
It scared the CRAP out of me!

I've always wondered what it was like to feel an earthquake. Don't think I'll need a re-run in this lifetime...

Ok guys onto another topic.

We are closing in on the design for the new SI PCC.

We are going to increase the mah on the battery, but this will increase the depth of the PCC.

Compared to the current slider PCC depth.

1500 mah adds 2mm
2000 mah adds 5mm
2500 mah adds 7mm
3000 mah adds 9mm

The current depth is about 13mm.

thoughts? feedback? is the 9mm increase in depth worth the extra mah? or keep it slimmer and go with double the current mah at 2000mah?

Personally I'd go for the largest increase, 3000mah. But really I would just like to be able to fully charge two to three 78mm batteries per pcc battery. Whatever size that works out to....
