A mechanic was going to be my other suggestion. Anyone who works on vehicles or machinery deals with this stuff all the time.

As for throat hit, play with your coil height. Generally closer to the airhole, more throat hit.

Closer to the air hole? So with the squape, the more lower down it is the better?

Wanted to share today's build because I really like it. Twisted 30 gauge, 6 wraps on 2.8mm ID (7/64"). Comes in at 1.0 ohm. Slightly lifted. Vaping at 18W.

MMMMM... This coil is delicious! This is my first twisted coil, I went and watched a few tutorials then twisted up a few lengths for practice. It was a lot simpler than I was thinking it would be, but like a lot of coil building all I needed was to believe in myself a little. Finally a use for all this 30ga.

I forgot yesterday to take pics of my build. Sorry, was doing tank maintenence during the Ohio State/Michigan game. And had a new Orchid to build :)

But, I put the same build today in my clone. This is before doing a little compression on the mod. 6 wraps of twisted 30 guage on 7/64" (2.8mm).

Its my first build on it, so its possible my answer will change later :). I did a 0.4 ohm build. Dual 26g coils, 8 wraps each on 2.4mm. Huge amount of vapor, a bit more than the SqR. Flavor seems a little less than SqR. Talk about a juice pig, lol! I need to refill a lot. Its also the v3 so I think it only holds 2.5ml. I'm running it on a mech so about 44W with a fresh battery.

Lol awesome!
So if i was to say which is better, what would you pick? From orchid and squape?
i too wanted the orchid, but production delays for the UK means it keeps getting delayed!

I can imagine with 0.4 ohms its a juice hogger.

Im now confused whether or not to get the kayfun4 or not!

Oh you got some pics of the orchid?

I think I prefer the SqR. The build is certainly a lot quicker, but I do love getting something new to play with. The Orchid is more of a challenge if you get bored easily. Honestly, the Orchid seems to be a kayfun designed for dual coils. My kayfun parts fit. I have the top fill cap I bought for my kayfun on it. I'm going to try my nano quartz kit as well.

Very different prices as well. The Orchid is a Tobeco clone and I only paid $15 for it. So what the heck, right? I figured, why not buy it :). If I didn't like it, I would just give it to someone else. However, its not worth $150 for the authentic, IMO. The SquapeR is innovative and precise. The cloners have issues trying to copy it. And the true ematal coating on the chimneys and decks is something. The Orchid isn't very innovative. Its a kayfun nano with posts like an rda. If it were $50 less for an authentic, then that would be a reasonable price point for what it is.

Ahh i see. Well the squape is a masterful build lol
Can't compare the two lol
I thought it was authentic orchid! Ha
But let me know how it goes. My squapeR is out of commission atm due to the threads :( miss my beast!

Next on the list i might pur-chase is the kayfun4 as i want something new to play with. Double minded though. Due to the price.

Yee both rebuild and general please?

No problem. I'm going to run a couple more tanks through, then rewick :)

I don't have a lot of money to spend on my vape gear. I'm on disability due to chronic pancreatitis. My out of pocket medical expenses are rather extreme. And I care for a slew of animals, most older and special needs, with high vet bills. So I try clones first, and then buy an authentic if I think its worth it. Now there are some nice and inexpensive authentics that have come out recently. The Lemo is awesome and priced lower than some clones. I have a Billow on the way. I expect it to be similar to the Orchid. It was $21 on Black Friday.

The Kayfun4 is pretty innovative. For the price point I would say it appears worth it. And with Svoemesto, you know its well machined and heavy duty. I'm sure it will be nice.

I hope you get your SqR fixed :)

Ahh i see and i also understand. My weekly medical bill is over $120 dollars, so i can share your pain. But you only live once as i see it, so why not spoil your self lol in my case, i think i need to slow down as i just spent £189 on my provari p3.

I see clones are cheap and you can try them rather than buying the real deal and spending , in some case over triple the amount and NOT like them.

Im really on the fence with the kayfun, i got the kayfun lite clown. Have to say i didnt get along with it lol so im bit confused. (due to leaking and refilling and changing coils etc)
Thhe squapeR is just immense. Getting it fixed though is a total other issue as nothing can be done. been to a few place and they say they cant do anything :(

What do you think i should do? im not spending £60 on the base....
