Oil-based Flavours?

I have some cake/confectionery flavours here that are marked as being oil based. I've had them for years and dragged them out today to explore their vaping potential.

They seem to behave in a very un-oil like fashion in that they disperse almost instantly in water!

So, is there a problem in using these for vaping? I've read differing opinions on using oil-based stuff and am a little confused.

These aren't essential oils BTW - they're made for human consumption.

These are similar to Lorann's I think.

They certainly dont behave like oils in water.

What brand name?...

I haven't bothered with any Lorann's though it seems some work fine. You need higher flavor concentrations for vaping than baking in general. I've read reports of people saying that some essential oils work fine for vaping. I really don't see why they wouldn't. I'd do more research on them though before trying, and there is no need to when there is non-oil alternatives really.

The LorAnn Gourmet work just fine. Not all are the best flavors (like cherry) but they do have a good selection and I really like their cinnamon roll. This link has the ones OSDIY carries: LorAnn Super Strength - One Stop DIY Shop Store

Even though a flavor says "oil" that does not mean it has a "oil" in it. The ones that do have a true "oil" do not mix well and have a tendency to gunk up atty's.

Yeah, I've heard some work well, hope to get to try them eventually. But... aren't "super strength" "oils" just their normal flavorings? I've heard that some are too weak, so if you bought every one they have it would be a waste for vaping. I know that some like cherry get bad reviews because it is just an artificial tasting flavor. I would suggest people to research each flavor they are considering buying very carefully before buying Loranns.

There's a big difference between something like a Lorann cherry which is probably one cherry tasting chemical thrown in PG versus something like Decadent Vapor's sour cherry, which is fractional distilled from real plant product and mixed specifically to be realistic tasting.

Also, I do not think it is necessarily true what you are saying about vaping oils. They may not be water soluble, but PG isn't water and there are reports of some oils easily mixing in PG as well as them not being a problem sticking in atties. It's again on a case by case basis.
