???
So why do you trust a similar cheap chip to give you the voltage you think you are getting?
The cheap chips are wrong but as long as they are consistently wrong either one can be accurate. So your 4.3v is actually 4.2v, that's the same as 5w actually being 4.5w, as long as you know the 4.3v or 5w setting is what you like that's all that matters as far as "exact" goes.
It's like my rifle that I have set to shoot 1" high @100yds. I can hit a dime with it because I know where it will hit.
The idea of VW is the auto adjustment for differing resistances. If you never change resistances you probably won't see that benefit.
I don't think its about being anti anything. VW is fine. Buts its more of a gimmick than anything else.

I can't believe you guys are still debating this. Different strokes for different folks. You can drive a car down the interstate or you can take your motorcycle through the projects, you're still going to get to the buy one pair of panties get one free sale at the Victoria's secret.
Is that waffle iron VV or VW?
Panties and cheese. I'm not sure they really go together.
All I know is that waffle irons that use pwm aren't worth .... paste.
Surely you jest Scott!!

Yeah... Wait till you have a Waffle made on a Sub-Ohm Iron.
You'll never go Back.

Had a Pancake this morning looked like it went .3ohm for a few minutes![]()
