I've been vaping exclusively for a month now (no analogs at all) and I've been searching my apt for the past 2 hours trying to find a dang lighter to fire up some freakin candles! The wicks are too small so I can't use the stove (tried!) and last time I lit a wooden skewer to light them, the smoke alarms went off.

Now I realize why the FDA wants to ban e-cigs, cuz they know that vapers will be caught without fire in a survival situation!

Just thought that you should share in my frustration.

Ah ! The mystery is solved now about the FDA's plan, I guess it doesn't help that the FDA owns every lighter company, they still need us to buy them so they can make a profit.

I know, I keep tripping on my zippo because I'm afraid to touch it. Zippos only have one purpose in life - to light analogs. They are worthless for anything else but lighting a fire in wet conditions (IF you brought lighter fluid too.)

And this is why I still have a Bic. Fire is handy. The Geico caveman told me so.

Try lighting something else with the stove, like a chopstick, or some tightly twisted newspaper, and transferring it to the candle.

Actually, I rolled a "cigarette" out of loose tea the other day just to see if I still could. If you don't have something like a chopstick handy, and you know how to roll, maybe making a "tea cigarette" with newspaper or something would make a decent controlled burn. Straight-up paper can be unpredictable.

Yeah, I know what you are talking about....I wouldn't even leave for work without knowing I had my trusty bic in hand. Couldn't find it a few weeks ago when I needed it to light a candle. Go figure

The only reason I am not improvising like you as I was one of those "hard core" smokers that bought lighters in those giant 12 packs and I still have some in a drawer

Come one who doesn’t have a long lighter to light the grill charcoal. Or even gas because the igniter button is out. Living here in Florida there are just things we keep a supply of because of the threat of Hurricanes matches being one of them.

Lol I hear ya. Wanted to light a candle a couple weeks ago and had to set a paper towel on fire using my electric stove burner, then quickly light the candle. I almost cried when I had to blow it out. Of course the next day I stumbled upon three lighters.

Found mine at Big Lots, but I've seen them elsewhere too. Yes, some are scented and they do have lavender.

LOL, I threw out the analogs I had when my Ego kit came. But I held on to my Bics, and Zippos and lighter fluid, and the refillable coleman lighter and butane.

I don't think we have a candle in the house tho.

It is amazing how something that is so much a part of you can fall by the wayside.

I did the lighter search today when some one asked to use mine and it took me 20 mins to find a bic, picked up my trusty zippo and for the first time I can remember it was empty, and that actually made me laugh.

I carried a zippo for over 13 years and have had the same one for the last 9 filling up every day and putting an extra pack in my pocket was part of the morning ritual, now it is filling cartos and grabbing the batt off the charger. I have been vaping for almost 2 months though and I still search my pockets at least once a day to play with it. I miss the "click" I guess.

Now I am wondering if it is too small for a mod.

Solved this problem I bought a bbq lighter, one of the long ones, is great for lighting candles.

My issue is not having my lighter at work. I am a heavy equip. operator and mechanic. I went to light the blue wrenches (torches) the other day to find I also dont have a sparker in the truck for it ... Still have 100 bics around the house.

It's been 8 weeks since I stopped smoking analogs and my Bic lighter still goes in my pocket every morning with my keys and wallet. Ima see if I can go a whole year without losing the same lighter!
