What is the point of Priority Mail 2-Day?

I live roughly 500 miles from L.A. and 690 miles from Kent, WA.

Isn't Priority supposed to go by air? There is an international airport here.

Sometimes I forgive them for running slow. Once the package hits Montana, you just never know. The moose could have fallen ill & is unable to distribute the packages effectively.

Gotta love the incompetent USPS & their 'tracking'. The IBT that was supposed to be here on the 5th just got updated to show it arrived in Billings (other side of the state) this morning & is now scheduled to be delivered 2 days ago on the 6th

What is the point of Priority Mail 2-Day?

It's all a crap shoot with USPS. I had a package coming out of Jackson, TN a month or so ago and it took 4 days to get here. Now I can jump in the car and do the Jackson round trip in about four hours, but it took the package four days. It left Jackson and went to Memphis (1 day) and from there went to Birmingham (2nd day). It left Birmingham and made it to where I live, which is only 60 miles away on the third day and then finally on the 4th day it went out for delivery.

Yep, tracking probably won't update until sometime after midnight at best. Also, keep in mind that with USPS it's technically not meant as tracking, just delivery confirmation. Tracking is just a advantageous side effect.
