Old style versus new style Darwin

Can someone please enlighten me a little . Are there any advantages of the new style Darwin's over the earlier versions ???? I want one , but need to find out if I need to get a particular version , or will any of them do . Thanks in advance for any help .

There have been continuous updates throughout the Darwin's time on the market. I think Brandon said there have been something like 15 revisions, but most of those are things inside that the user would never notice. If you can get a new one, I say go for it, but an older one will serve you just as well, the functionality hasn't changed at all. My Darwin is a year old in a couple of weeks and still working like day 1. I'd love to have the newer style connector arm someday (slightly redesigned 510 connection and multiple detents in the rotation), but can't really complain with what I've got now ;-)
