There is definitely an "obsession" factor involved unlike with cigarettes...... my Marlboro Lights were just that.... and nothing more to it except perhaps a nice Zippo lighter. With Vapeware....WOW..... the list goes on and on and the technology seems to get better and better. To me I compare it more closely to cell phones...... when the newer model gets introduced it is so hard not to feel like you HAVE to have it...... therein lies the problem. We must all use SELF CONTROL haha

Just don't jump on every new thing that comes down the pipe

But I like jumping on new things....

Not sure how much and don't really want to know. It's a lot. Probably about as much of you over 2 months.
However, I think about a few things that make me OK with it...

1. Would I have paid that amount if someone told me "for $xxx and you will quit smoking tomorrow"? Yes.
2. It's probably about the same as I would have spent on cigarettes
3. I really like it!

I have a spreadsheet that I set up in April.....I input all vape purchases no matter how insignificant.
I have spent exactly 1208.99 since the first of April this year.
vaping has actually saved me money because not only was I not buying ciggys but I stopped hanging around Ebay so much.
1208.99 is not bad in 6 month's time for a shopaholic, lol

The spreadsheet is just curiosity about how much I was spending....I'm not worried about breaking even or anything like that

I have started many new hobbies over the years and it seems about average to invest about $1000 in the first 6-12 months. This, added to with the justifications/intentions of quitting, multiplied by the new quitters addictive tendencies.

This is all very similar to when I switched over to wet shaving. I had to go through all these new types of razors, blades, soaps, aftershaves and creams until I found the right set up. I spent about $1000 before I hit the wall. I haven't been to the shave store in over 3 months.... and I have enough shaving stuff to last until the end of next year.

I got some stuff for DIY juice this time around.. I love my regular vendor but spending 60.00+ per month for juice was bothering my wallet, lol
I did buy some of my regular juice too to vape while I learn how to DIY.
When I get the DIY down then I can spend that 60.00+ on a new quilt or something, lol

Ok so i bought my first ecig august 31 2013
so about a month ago.
So just about 1 month later i added my reciepts and deducted my credits and omg!

the grand total $826.94

the worst part is i gave my triton set and accessories to my mom and grandpa.
i had to return my itaste, the clearos wouldnt thread on it.
Been waiting for that one to be ahipped out.

i currently own 1 spinner.

and have 2 esmarts on the way. Just ordered those with 2 day shipping as im sol when charging my spinner and end up buying smokes, and not sure when ill get my itaste back.

i still have to get a couple clearos i like.

Point is i got one freaking battery right now.
i mean im good one juice for a bit, i hope.

my husband doesnt even smoke.
he is deployed on a submarine right now.
he is going to think im a ...... addict or something!

lord have mercy on me!
Divorce could be in my near future lol.

$826!
i knew i didnt want to add those reciepts.

I miht have gone overboard huh?
no dont answer that.
im just venting.

so curious... How much have you all spent? Am i the only one this crazy?

I don't keep up with my receipts, even with all I have spent I am still under what I would have paid for analogs at 2+ packs a day. I have 7 cig-a-likes, 4 twist, 2 spinners, an eroll, about 50 bottles of juice, multiple tanks, got a SmokTech SID about a month ago and this past Saturday I got my Innokin VTR. All this since this past March. Going to get verified so I can sell most of it. Just going to keep a couple of twist, my SID & VTR. At least I can make a little bit back. Whew. I think I'm addicted.....lol. But it is all worth it to stay off the stinkies and my husband is so proud of me that he doesn't care what I buy as long as it's not the stinkies:vapor:

I was spending $80 per week om cigarettes....... Now about $30 per week on Vapeware.... BUT just think of the Doctor bills that you will be saving in the future!!! :) Plus your house, the car, your clothes and your person DO NOT smell like an ashtray. My opinion...... the expense for the vaping supplies is definitely CHEAPER!!

Thats a good point.. Dr bills and no smoking in the house and the car smelling, and oh my smokers breathe! I forgot about all thar

I knew I shouldn't have done that! $811.50 in a month, but that was for 2 people, and I have enough juice to last 12+ months. AND -- not only did I quit smoking, but I also quit using nic patches at work since I kept it a secret that I smoked.

One thing we should all calculate in our cost savings that I haven't seen mentioned yet is the constant increase in the cost of cigarettes. The taxes here seem to go up at least a dollar or two a carton every year, and as much as $10 a carton a few years back. We could probably safely calculate a 10% increase per year, which should totally be reinvested back in vaping our health.

About $450 in one month including all the juice I've been ordering trying to find stuff I really like. About $100 of that was for some replacement stuff 2 weeks in when both my Triton batteries quit working and I was not about to buy cigarettes. Hopefully it will slow down since I now have 4 batts, several clearos/tanks and spare coils. Or so I tell myself.

Ladiekali, first thank your husband for his service & good luck to you while he's deployed. Does he know you're giving up the smoking? I think that will be priceless to him.

I've spent as least as much as you and I started last month. oops! I told my husband my set up was his present to me for my birthday & anniversary. That made him happy since he didn't have to come up with a gift for me, but he's even happier I'm not smoking.

24 days, $350. On Thursday I'm going to order more juice so that will bounce me up over $400 for a month. Not too bad as I was spending probably $350 a month on analogs. And an added bonus.....I never just went into a store and bought smokes, I always bought other stuff and smokes. Practically every single day, occasionally every other day. I was looking at my bank account for something the other day and was shocked to find there was a time period when I didn't use my debit card for 6 days!!!!!! So not only am I not buying analogs on a daily basis I'm apparently not buying who knows what that I really didn't need.
