Use TC but want to put a couple mech's in storage -- but have little to no knowledge in this area. Any suggestions for a reliable, best value mech purchase? Thks!
Nemesis, if you don't mind clones. Getting difficult to find.
At Vapor dna, I bought 2 Cigreens in copper not a clone. About 38 a pop.
I've used mechs for about 5 years & I've never seen such a bare cupboard..

Well mine are in a fireproof box inside a 3000lb cement firewalled safe filled with my 2nd amendment rights, but you are right I may need to wrap them in rubber also.
My UHF radios are rubber wrapped and as for being a survivalist I believe my 6 8lb buckets of freeze dried meals from Wise and 4 buckets from Mountain house have me set for a while although I did see some new meals I may want to add for my dining pleasure. I even have freeze dried dog food as well as a buckets of water packs and juice drinks;) I think I am set for a while:)
To protect from emp they need to be wrapped in rubber and stoned in a metal container with a tight lid. I even duct taped the lid seam.

The energy will flow around the metal container, and rubber insulates the gear from the energy.

I got a Pico by eleaf today. I may get another.

I use all my new mods for a week or two and then put them back in the packaging if they are reserve mods. Electronics if defective will usually fail within a few weeks.
if they have a built in battery store them about 1/3 - 1/2 discharged.

Mechs I just inspect closely and store away.

do u think china will still ship to usa ? black market?
I am sure they will be happy to sell but that is NO guarantee the items will get through Customs.

I have been shouting for people to prepare for sonething like this for 10 months.

Now the FDA has your attention. PREPARE DARN IT!

I've been telling all who will listen. My biggest surprise, when I came to work this morning and I was the only vaper who had any idea of what happened.
Same way at my work Also. Some of which I help out with eliquid, They were very surprised to find out that service is no longer available.

On the good side. Even with all the stockpiling at 1.3 years into vaping I have spent about 1/3 of what I spent on cigs and am good on vaping for a couple of years on everything now. Won't have to spend a dime for a couple of years and then only flavorings, PG/VG and batteries.

Quick question to those that have stocked up extra mods: is it better to rotate through your mods and keep them all going, or should I just leave the extras in the box after testing and cycle through them as mods die?

there are some mods that don't die very often

I'm still daily vaping the first one I bought used, over 2.5 years ago ... some of my backups will likely never get used.

if the electronics gives out in a regulated mod I can easially convert it to a mosfet mech or a VV Hexohm type of mod. The chips hexohm uses are off the shelf std electronics parts not vaping specific.
I also ordered some 510 connectors and battery sleds.
Hammond boxes are not vaping specific either.

The thing that ticks me off are the idiots who say " but i don't want to rebuild or DIY Juice.' i hope they like smoking.

If they had gotten off their butts and prepared 10 months ago they could have saved a LOT of money.

I saw sales where a liter of 100 mg/ml nicotine for $24.

They didn't prepare and they have to pay the piper.

Hope for the best and prepare for the worst.
Fighting the FDA is like an ant fighting a dinosaur.
Political and public opinion is against vapers....
And the FDA wants just a few companies to deal with vs thousands.
So we will have cigalikes from a few tobacco companies and that is it if the regs are not changed.

You're right about that. I just hope congress and The President will do the right thing but its still better to prepare just in case.

I started stockpiling a year ago it allowed me to do it cheaply watching for real deals on mechs and regulated. Figuring out just which tanks I wanted to use so I did not have to buy replacement parts for 20 different tanks.
And I always have about 20 Evod and 20 T3S clearos to fall back on if needed.

My best understanding, which might be wrong, is nothing happens for 90 days. After the 90 days existing devices and liquids can be sold but not products introduced after the 90 days unless an application for approval is submitted. Current products can continue for sale for the next two years. After that any products that do not have approval applications pending can't be offered for sale.

So after 90 days may be the US retailers have no new products. The US youtube reviewers like Mike Vapes Pete Busardo and Rip Tripper may not be getting any new hardware to show us.

May be if the deeming date was moved to May 6, 2016 we could buy the current products indefinitely. Then the US would be to vape stuff what Cuba is to cars.

May be I have this all wrong. If so may be somebody has a better quality rumor.

IF the stuff made up till May 2016 was approved it could be sold, It still has to be approved within 2 years under an equivalency thing or something. Not the PMTA part.

I expect a stoppage of all vaping imports for a bit around August while the details are sorted out

and yes we till have to watch the Brit and Canadian reviewers to drool over new stuff we cannot buy.

The thing that ticks me off are the idiots who say " but i don't want to rebuild or DIY Juice.' i hope they like smoking.

I wouldn't call every vaper out there that doesn't want to DIY or rebuild an "idiot". I would guess that less than 10% of vapers DIY, so that's a lot of idiots.

People like my wife that work long hours, sit in traffic for a couple hours a day, make dinner and chase around a three year old until almost bedtime might not have the time. She would definitely not have the time to pull out the 100mg NIC, flavourings, syringes, PG/VG, etc. after putting our daughter to bed nor does she want to. She is lucky I make our juice but if I wasn't around, she would pay market price for store bought juice or smoke cigalikes. Not everyone wants to make their own coils and have a freezer full of NIC.

P.s. Vaping is not being outlawed. Things will be tough, but vaping is not going to be illegal any time soon.
