On stockpiling after FDA deeming regulations

That's why I want to be sure I have enough spare parts.

I hear you loud and clear.

I've made sure to have at least two of everything I own. In most cases I have 4 of ea item, and the things I really like I am buying close to 10 of ea plus spare parts.

I saw a neighbor of mine today who I hadn't talked to in a long while, he has been vaping for about six years now, settled in his ways and happily just vaping and living his life. He was totally unaware of what is going on with the deeming regs. I felt so bad, thinking about how many others are out there, without a clue as to what's going on...his take on what I told him gave me pause, he said, well, if it gets that bad, I'll just quit. And he definately didn't mean he would return to smoking. He just figured he would give it up. I wonder how many folks will just do the same?

Been in this for 3 years and never owned a mech mod... kind of a combination of "Why take the extra risk when I want to be able to adjust." Now you guys have me thinking... maybe I should pick one or two up for long term? Or maybe just a Provari... seams to be about as good and still adjustable.

*Waits for the enablers to recommend getting both*
Get a Nemesis or similar with center 510 pin in the top and locking mechanism for the firing switch for maximum safety.

Hey Alien. So, you have mods and tanks that are so-so? Don't you want to get at least 3 that have been proven to be truly reliable? Same with your tanks.

I've spent nearly $3,000.00 on all authentic (not all of the mechs) duplicate mods, duplicate tanks, RDA's, at least 5pks of replacement coils per tank, 2,500 premade kanthol coils, 100 premade twisted kanthal coils (going to order about another 200-400 different designed clapton), 800ft of wire, a lb of cotton, 27 18650s (all married except for the ones for the single mods), and just under 5,000ml of different juice. Not to mention the liters of DIY I will be ordering tonight. I also have all kinds of tools and a backup set of the good ones.

I also bought some starter kits. I'm really liking the flavor and cloud production of the Kanger SubVod. I find it quite satisfying actually. I have the pink, just received a white one and I think I'll get another. You can DL that with open air flow and chuck a surprisingly good cloud with it. I'll MTL with a higher coil and restricted airflow. I'm trying to go with while, it will look like an analog if I'm out in the smoking section of a restaurant or bar. (Gawd. I haven't been to a bar in years)

If I like what I see in reviews, I buy it. There is no price on saving my life. I refuse to go back to another 45 years of smoking with COPD - if I live that long.
You are quite mistaken. Picos, Kayfuns, Taifuns are excellent. Provaris, SubVods are so-so.
I know what will work for me. I know for how long it will work for me. To use 800 feet of wire I have to live 500 years (I am not refusing, I am just not sure I can do it). Why should I spend $3k for 500 years of vaping supplies?
And I still hope mods and tanks will be available, just more expensive.

And I do not want to live forever with outdated vaping equipment. Progress will continue.

Maybe some of us don't like to hope

I believe a good many will. I feel quitting vaping will prove to be a lot easier than quitting cigs ever were...

I agree but quitting by force and quitting by choice are two completely separate paths. Quitting by force is something I refuse to do on this topic. It pains me that many folks may end up quitting by force. Hopefully some sort of middle ground protects the unprepared after the dust settles.

Middle ground is looking rather good at this point in time.

The no new products after Aug 8 will have a bigger impact than some are thinking.

Agreed, the whole any change no matter how insignificant makes it a new product and must be PMTA approved or removed from market is in affect as of 8/8/16. If the color of the paint or the font style of the packaging, any small thing out of line from what was previously sold changes...new product. Cannot be sold without PMTA. It's going to get ugly a lot sooner than most expect...

I tend to agree with you, Enaud. Right now we need to stock pile as though WWIII is going to happen. It could be 2 years; who knows?

I did learn today that an addendum has just been approved by the House to revert products from 2007 to 8/8/16. It seems promising but you never know with Big Tobacco and all of the lawsuits looming from our wonderful advocates.

In the meantime, stock up as though everything will vanish forever.

So, @Bob Chill I agree with you wholeheartedly.

@Alien Traveler I suggest you quit looking at your anus before sticking your head in there and smell the coffee...or roses, whichever you prefer. Or you will be thrust into the abyss of analogs once again.

This.

The real bummer is all the artisanal companies and crazy people whose work I enjoy, are for the most part getting flushed down the toilet. Except Imeo, Imeo will still be making GGs in 2059, and there will still be people buying them, becuz, Imeo!

GG pictures

Maybe SvoëMesto isn't doomed and could pivot and start designing steam-powered lawnmowers or blenders, or blending lawnmowers with steam.

Obviously, everything will be Just Fine. And it will, as long as you have your own B&M inside your house :)

S'cuse me, gotta mix another drink and click add to cart summore now.

Are you saying this because you dont think AT is taking things as seriously as you are?
I too feel people are spending ridiculous amounts of money but hey.....it's their money to spend.
I dont think it's fair for any of us to assume that because not everyone is on the shop til you drop bandwagon that it'll send them back to traditional cigarettes.

Hey SkanaLeX. No dis, but that's just what Big Tobacco wants you to do. They are losing billions of dollars in revenue because of us vapers. Sure, most folks don't have enough money to buy whatever is the next best thing, or can't afford tons of juice or wire or cotton. I get it. I don't mean to talk people down. I'm just concerned that some of us may not be ready for the long haul. It very well could take 2 years for things to correct themselves. But there are some, some, that turn the other cheek thinking it will change in a short period of time.

I apologize to those that may not take my stance on preparedness. I would just hate it if any of us had to turn to analogs again.

I reached my comfort zone a good mouth or so back. I'm now well into insurance on top of that and also getting a supply for a few friends and family when they are ready to quit the Stinkies.

Vaping will just be underground. Stocking up for a good decade really doesn't cost that much compared to what a months of the Stinkies cost.
