I have been looking at those on Amazon and have some models in my wishlist. Been devoting my time(and $) to this deeming stock-up. When the dust settles and some time goes by, I def want to get one.
Thanks for the link
:)

I also would love a Food Saver! Now that I have my chest freezer, it would come in really handy. Going to bookmark it, too.
I have been using one for over 20 years (yea I'm old) and it does really work good on preserving food. I have had meats that were over 7 years in the freezer that were just as good as the day they were frozen (as long as the bag does not get a hole in it). The first one I got was almost $400, but it was for vacuuming the venison so it would not go bad in 6 months, and it worked great, now I swear by them. We buy bulk meat, break it down, then vacuum it so it will last in the freezer. A really good investment IMHO. :)

I grabbed one for breaking down my nic then bought mostly small bottles of nic and only had to use it on the one that was cross threaded from nude (they never did respond to my email about that). Got a full liter of nic today that will be broke down once my true preserve argon shows up so it will get some more use in a day or two. I plan to start using it for food too as I hate forgetting about something at the back/bottom of the freezer that was opened once and got freezer burned.

I had a mild panic attack a little bit ago. Got an email from NN that my order
has left their facility and on its way to my house. Problem is, I received my
order from them a few days ago. I ordered it early last week. My first thought
was that my card was compromised. But then I studied the email.....compromised
with the exact same thing I ordered last week? And having it sent to me? Then
I thought NN is sending me another duplicate order by mistake. Then I told myself to
get into their site and just check things. Turns out it was my order from
early last week, and the email is just now getting to my inbox. Whew for
that one.

I think I need to see this on video. I am trying to picture how one seals bottled nic in a vac bag.
Isn't there still going to be air in the bag?
It sucks the air out then seals it. I am sure there are videos on youtube. Works like a charm from my sample of 1 time using it for nic.

I have no idea how anyone survives without one. I got mine so long ago I can't remember the year.. They come in handy when processing your deer and of course chickens.. beats paying someone else.. and comes in handy for all manner of things.

I'm planning on vacuum sealing my mods for storage with some silica in the bags, to avoid any unwanted deterioration of them while in storage.

Buying meat in bulk and vacuum sealing is one of thr biggest food money savers you can do. Been doing it forever. You can also vacuum seal things like single serve chilI and reheat the bag in boiling water. Veggies are great too.

I like vacuum sealing my bottles in groups. Nice way to keep them secure in the deep freeze. Not sure how much it helps oxidation wise but is a great way to organize and securely store.

I wrap my bottles of nic in aluminum foil, then in bubble wrap and then in vacuum seal bags. Sucking the air out pops a few of the bubbles but there are still plenty left to protect from the occasional bump they may get. Hubby gifted me with a Weston Pro a few years ago. No more freezer burnt food around here. I like getting the 8X11 and 6X8 bags. I have a couple of rolls of bags but the premade ones are just easier for me.

Thanks all for the tips on storing nicotine. I just made the largest order I have ever made. I think I'm good for a while.

The only bottles I could find that were affordable were clear glass and I was wondering what to cover them with. I will go shopping for some little socks. :)
Dark bottles in a freezer - optional. No light anyway in a freezer. But if you wish, foil will work perfectly. Be sure you have good caps, like poly cone lined. Caps are important.

I had the same thing happen to me. I think possibly that the dept that sends the emails that says "it's shipped" is behind on getting emails sent, and that the orders have gone out several days before the email gets sent.
I'm waiting on a replacement bottle that's out flapping in the wind somewhere...trying to get a tracking number.
I'm sure it's all going to be fine, I think they're incredibly swamped.
...I'll feel better once it arrives though...it's the last bottle I'm waiting for...placed the order two weeks ago, one arrived broken, this is the replacement for that.

DH bought this one a couple years ago. It's really nice too. It has the feature that lets you use their hard plastic containers that can be washed and re-used.
Part of the reason he got this one was that he bought it in a store, and they were out of the other style, this was all they had...otherwise he was going to get the one you linked.
He had wild boar to put up and wanted to get it done without running all over trying to find one in stock somewhere.

I would be more worried about the people around me dying from my lack of nicotine
Understood. But as an adherent of the Non-Aggression Principle, I would consider a return to smoking ethically preferable to the alternative, which would put those in my immediate proximity (and perhaps out a range of several hundred yards) at risk. :D
