Only a couple ppl go into details but I was just sorting my vape box and I've got 33 rba's and only 15 mods, 7 of which are mechs. I have a lot less mods but I like things to be even. Do most ppl on here have more atomisers than mods? Considering any atty will fit them all.

I have a lot more atomizers than mods. In a worst case scenario, I can make a diy mod, but I don't know how to make an atty. (At least not one that I'd want to use)

Also, there were great sales on attys back in January.

I just picked up one more IPV D2 as a stash away. That makes 6 VV mods with replaceable cells. If that doesn't make it till the end so be it, I'm done buying mods. I've got 8 RBA's and plenty of spare parts for them, check, done with tanks. Lots, I'm gonna stick with lots as the description, Lots of nic in the freezer now.

The rest I can get whenever I want, as certain things will be around forever, (wick, wire, VG, PG) so I think I'm done with prep mode.....now back to business as usual.

A few notes:

- Stockpiling wire, why?
Wire has been around LONG before the inception of vaping it's not going anywhere. Vaping didn't invent Kanthal or Ni-chrome or titanium and certainly not Stainless Steel. Ask Tempco how long they've been seeling wire.

- Long term storage of juice/nicotine in plastic containers...
Plastics leech chemicals into juice slowly over time, you might never even taste them but would you mind vaping them? Extreme heat or cold will accelerate the process.

- Stockpiling flavorings, why?
The flavorings we use in DIY (unless it's something like a NET or other tobacco product) is a food additive and has been around for many many years. Did you think companies like Capella, Flavor's Apprentice or others were made strictly for vaping? Read the labels, these items have been in use for cakes and other food related items for years.

------------------------------------

I'm stockpiling what I have, which honestly is no more no less than what I already had before this FDA fiasco started. I already had a couple of liters of Nicotine which in my honest opinion might be the ONLY think that will be relatively hard to get. I say relatively because there WILL be a black market for it as well.

Mods, tanks, the basics will NOT go away. China has a multi-billion dollar industry. They will continue to ship and if it comes to it guarantee delivery of vaping products to your door. Do you honestly believe the FDA and customs will stop EVERY package that looks like a tube mod, juice or tank? Do you realize the kind of man power that would require? It's just not economically or realistically feasible to attempt such a feat. They've already tried once and only the very large orders didn't make it through. On top of this they got sued and lost, mind you that may not work anymore but in small quantities you package will more than likely not even get a second look, it's just not worth the time.

Kanthal or any wire for that matter can be had by the pound:

Tempco Electric Heater Corporation
McMaster-Carr

VG can be had at:
Glycerin Vegetable KOSHER USP - 1 Gallon (this is USP Kosher same stuff we use for vaping).
Can also be had at walmart or CVS or Walgreens.

Gallon of USP PG:
Ideal Animal Health USP Propylene Glycol, 1 gal. - For Life Out Here
Don't let the animal health statement scare you it's the same stuff you buy online for vaping, again another product that's been on the market for decades that just so happened to be used for vaping as well.

Everything else will still be available as their primary purpose was not vaping.

Mods, premade coils, attys wIll be harder to get, but not impossible

Nicotine will be the hardest to obtain after.

Stock piling cotton, rayon, wire, pg/vg, flavorings, batteries, just doesn't make sense. They will ALWAYS be available

I don't believe this to be true, do you have a reference?

Plastic bottles are oxygen permeable, not good and freezing is recommended for long term storage of nic base.

Do you have any studies that say they don't?
I can do the plastic study all day Google is littered with links to studies that say they do.

Extreme heat doesn't care whether there is air or not, you actually heat up plastic by either heating it (obviously) or freezing it which also produces heat at extremely cold temps, especially on liquids that have a very high freezing point (juice and nicotine) especially those with a PG base.

Read the DIY section on this very forum, there are several posts on why we don't store Nicotine in plastic containers.

With all the stuff packaged in plastics these days, I would think this case would be the least harmful. At a certain point where do you let the fear of just living not effect you? We were smokers for heavens sake, now we worry about plastics leeching? I get it but........

Plastic leeching over time only happens when certain conditions are met (when using a proper food safe container), one of the major players is heat. If you freeze or heat plastic that's when it might be a problem, room temperature usually isn't a problem but at room temp your juice would slowly spoil so that doesn't matter to us.

I've ordered extra RBAs from several sites (myvaporstore, directvapor, etc.), but it's the screws that are the only thing I've had to replace over the last year. You get extra screws when you order an entire STM, but not when you order the RBA as a standalone. Just wouldn't mind having an extra little package of those little screws.
I get all my screws from McMaster Carr.

I have a lifetime supply for nearly all my atties for around $50.00... with spares.

In fact, I replace all my screws in all my atties before I even use them.

I just got lots of glass and parts for my subtank minis. Even some polycarb bell tops.
STMs with the RBA are my tank of choice. (I do have a few others, but rarely use them)

I have 3 complete authentic STMs, 5 polycarb bellcaps, 3 glass bellcaps, 7 additional RBAs, 8 additional bases, 12 extra tank o-ring/seal sets and 6 extra glass. So basically, 10 complete tanks and some parts.

I have found the middle o-ring for the RBA, but the screws and other o-rings that were suggested on the FT forums were not correct. Have you found these? I do have the extra screws that came with the original STMs, but I would like extras.
