Read the DIY section on this very forum, there are several posts on why we don't store Nicotine in plastic containers.

I don't disagree that long term storage in plastic is not a good idea, just for a different reason, oxidization.
I have never seen any chemist say don't freeze nic.

Somewhere out there
One way I look at stocking up is I am buying ahead for what I want to do and that is vaping. Even if we can still get everything in the future, some of us will just be stocked up ahead of time incase we can't get what we want. It never hurts to be prepared

A few notes:

- Stockpiling wire, why?
Wire has been around LONG before the inception of vaping it's not going anywhere. vaping didn't invent Kanthal or Ni-chrome or titanium and certainly not Stainless Steel. Ask Tempco how long they've been seeling wire.

- Long term storage of juice/nicotine in plastic containers...
Plastics leech chemicals into juice slowly over time, you might never even taste them but would you mind vaping them? Extreme heat or cold will accelerate the process.

- Stockpiling flavorings, why?
The flavorings we use in DIY (unless it's something like a NET or other tobacco product) is a food additive and has been around for many many years. Did you think companies like Capella, Flavor's Apprentice or others were made strictly for vaping? Read the labels, these items have been in use for cakes and other food related items for years.

------------------------------------

I'm stockpiling what I have, which honestly is no more no less than what I already had before this FDA fiasco started. I already had a couple of liters of Nicotine which in my honest opinion might be the ONLY think that will be relatively hard to get. I say relatively because there WILL be a black market for it as well.

Mods, tanks, the basics will NOT go away. China has a multi-billion dollar industry. They will continue to ship and if it comes to it guarantee delivery of vaping products to your door. Do you honestly believe the FDA and customs will stop EVERY package that looks like a tube mod, juice or tank? Do you realize the kind of man power that would require? It's just not economically or realistically feasible to attempt such a feat. They've already tried once and only the very large orders didn't make it through. On top of this they got sued and lost, mind you that may not work anymore but in small quantities you package will more than likely not even get a second look, it's just not worth the time.

Only a couple ppl go into details but I was just sorting my vape box and I've got 33 rba's and only 15 mods, 7 of which are mechs. I have a lot less mods but I like things to be even. Do most ppl on here have more atomisers than mods? Considering any atty will fit them all.

I deffinitely have more attys than mods.

personally, I am loaded for Bear when it comes to surviving anything the FDA throws my way.

However, I believe we will see vape gear on sale for mere pennies on the dollar when there is no eLiquid to use with it.

IMO, this will start happening long before the 2 year mark ... I'm thinking Octoberish

I have been "stocking" for over a year. I like old technology - it works for me. I have stockpiled if for nothing else but parts. I don't buy anything now days that I can't get replacement parts for (and buy the parts at the same time). For mods, I have multiples of the ones I really like. I am in pretty good shape for things I know will be "regulated". I plan on getting more nic, but since I will probably drop my nic level when this all comes down, I probably don't need it. But if friends or someone needs help down the road, perhaps I can help. We shall see. I just keep watching sales and looking for deals. That's the way I work!

Study: Most Plastics Leach Hormone-Like Chemicals

Plastic Toxins Are Leaching Into Your Food And Water – Here’s How To Avoid Them

Do you have any studies that say they don't?
I can do the plastic study all day Google is littered with links to studies that say they do.

Extreme heat doesn't care whether there is air or not, you actually heat up plastic by either heating it (obviously) or freezing it which also produces heat at extremely cold temps, especially on liquids that have a very high freezing point (juice and nicotine) especially those with a PG base.

Read the DIY section on this very forum, there are several posts on why we don't store Nicotine in plastic containers.

You are thinking of plastics leechimg BPA.

That is usually from soft flexible plastics.

There is also BPA in the liner sprayed in soda and beer cans.

#1, and #2 types of plastics were Designer yo use in very cold weather and in freezers.

Most plastic is every bit as fragile as glass at cold temps.

I have been using #1 plastic in the freezer for years

Studies have found levels of antimony (a toxic chemical) leaching from water bottles that have been placed in heat for prolonged times. Although PETE does not contain BPA or Phthalates, it’s always best to make sure that your water bottles are not temperature abused. PETE plastic should not be reused because cleaning detergents and high temperatures can cause chemicals to leach out of the plastic. Plastic #1 is only intended for one time use.

As you can see #1 plastic has NO BPA.

Single use. Not intended to be heated or washed and reused.

So you're guaranteeing all plastic bottles across the entire industry are all 100% BPA free?

Even if you could measure the levels of BPA in plastics (which you and I can't without specific equipment), plastic bottles are not all either #1 or #2 are you put it. Some bottles have traces of BPA some have none at all and some have high amounts, same way not all humans are black or white (no racism intended). There are literally thousands of hybrid plastics out there, they're required by law to only post what should be considered food safe and what shouldn't, but even food safe containers can have trace elements of BPA.

Better point... rather than argue other dumb stuff, if you're looking for long term storage of any liquids that could potentially be contaminated use glass.

Problem solved.

Sir. You never read my comment at all.

I was specifically talking sbour ,#1 plastic being free of BPA. As NO point did i say or imply that ALL plastic was free of BPA.

If you want to use glass knock yourself out.

I would never store glass in the freezer.

At cold temps glass is very brittle.

An earthquake, or You drop a bottle of and your nic is gone.

#1 plastic will not shatter like glass.
