When transferring 100 mg/ml nic I recomend doing so on a clean, uncluttered area next to a sink. I prefer to use a glass baking dish lined with paper towels and have some paper towels nearby in case of a spill, cleanup will be quick and easy. Avoid handling 100 mg/ml nic in carpeted areas, a spill would be very difficult to thoroughly clean up.
Rubber gloves and glasses are a good idea. Being next to running water, a good washing of your hands is all most folks would need to do. Handling is also best done at a time without any distractions or interruptions.
Whenever pulling nic from the freezer, allow it plenty of time to come fully to room temp before opening the top. When placing in freezer, I like to double bag mine, and cushion the bottles with some bubble wrap, long term stuff is boxed and dated. Just always be alert and stay focused on what you are doing.
I like to put a plastic bag laid flat over the work area, when you are done working with Nic or juice just toss the bag and keeps your counter free of contamination. I use a garbage bag laid flat. Also those throw away aluminum bake pans are great, they can catch a spill and contain it when transferring Nic to smaller bottles.
Is there such a thing as a bargain-basement squonker? Don't know if I will like it so don't want to spend very much. Plus, that's just my preferred shopping method. I haunt the clearance and specials sections online.Here you are. There's mech mods here. These ones are very special ones. They are called squonker boxes or bottom feeding drip mods. You squeeze on the bottle inside the mod to feed juice to your atomizer, usually an RDA converted over to bottom feeding.
All you do then is press your fire button on top of the box. You can take about four to six draws off a squonked atomizer. Then, you may want to give a few more squeezes to wet the wick again. The result is your atomizer keeps fresh juice on hand and any excess goes back to the bottle until you use it up. It makes dripping lots more free of hassle, mess.
And aye, I'm a bonkers squonker.Hehe. Will be back to it soon, missing it terribly.

Recently got a Dripbox. Now this is nice. Bottle is very comfortable. I like it out of the box but have a couple tweaks in mind.

In the past, there have occasionally been blemished mods, but they go super fast. Even the regular mods go pretty fast from what I've seen. I picked up one of my two from the classies here on ECF, you may be able to find a used one there.

I understand your concern. I had some myself. But, it's one of those common sense things. Wear gloves, and if you get some on your skin, wash it off. It's not cyanide but should be handled with respect. I actually did get some on my hands the first batch I mixed when I took the gloves off and grabbed the bottle, which had some spill on it. I washed my hands. Job done.
I agree, it is a common sense thing and not really all that dangerous in the grand scheme of things.
The common sense part, well, not everyone has the same level of common sense. I think it's a good practice to share safe handling practices often, as now there are a lot more folks buying nic who may not have taken the time to read up on it.
The only thing I'm missing for my stash is 100mg Nic. I don't have a freezer to store it, but I'm planning on getting some of the Nude Armor when I start my new job in a few weeks (will have more $ then). I figure I'll go through almost 100ml a year (maybe a little less). With 2 REOs, 6 mechs, and a dozen regulated mods (I kinda hoard stuff - don't like to sell for that 'just in case' scenario), and a ton of wire, I should be set there. lol. I also just got some RTAs (griffin, Herakles, avocado, Kayfun), so as long as I can get Nic and flavoring, I'll be good.
Mechs are easy enough and I've worked with 100mg Nic (with a science background, I know what I'm doing as well). Just need to stock up. My only REAL worry is price gouging when we get closer to a 'hard date.'

I think people have different tolerance to nicotine. I remember about 4 years after I started smoking, I was smoking about 3 packs a day by then. And I decided that I was going to quit for good and I bought a carton and sat down and smoked all of them. I figured I would never want another cigarette ever again after that. I didn't know anything about nicotine toxicity or anything, I was young back then. That lasted two days and then I wanted a cigarette again.
Years later I rolled my own smokes. They always warned to wash your hands after touching the tobacco, since the nicotine gets absorbed through your skin. After washing my hands a few times, I asked why am I doing this? I want the nicotine and not wash it down the drain. So I stopped washing my hands and I never felt anymore extra nicotine, then I got from smoking.
I got scared again about nicotine when I started to vape. As this is in liquid form and not dry like tobacco. So there I go washing my hands once again. But through some very small accidents, you get small amounts on your skin from time to time. So I started to not panic with low doses and see what happens. And nothing happened! Even getting a few drops of 36mg on my skin, I personally wouldn't worry for myself.
I never been exposed to the hardcore nicotine strength. That I would be very cautious with until I learned if I would have a problem with it or not. That reminds me of people who harvest tobacco leaves. Do they do that anymore or do they use farm equipment? Anyway new workers were warned they must use gloves since they have a low tolerance to nicotine. Yet the old time workers often harvest tobacco leaves bare handed.
Of course, everyone has different tolerances. But if you have a hardcore nicotine addiction, I won't sweat the small stuff.

I think it's going to be a split between cheap prices as vendors try to unload products and higher prices for more popular things that may become scarce.
I spent two summers in my teens working tobacco. Bare handed the whole time, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. This was in the early 80's. I already smoked by that time, most of us did. I came home absolutely covered in tobacco sap every day. Might be a reason I have always had such a hard time giving it up nic. Other than that, never noticed any bad effects.
According to Dimitris Agrafiotis, manufactures have two years after August 8, 2016 to submit the required application for FDA approval, or they must stop selling.
My guess is little will change after August 8th. I suspect most can't afford to do everything that the FDA wants them to do anyway. So most will probably keep manufacturing and selling until the two years is up.

Not that I ever heard of. Working tobacco was a very common job for teens where I live, for decades. You could work starting at age 14 since it was farm labor. At this point, they have given up on teens and stick to migrant workers. I guess kids don't want to work that hard anymore.
Ok maybe a weird question but I own 30 ego type batts some 650mah and some 2200mah - how can I use them down to store them? They go from ok to dead no in-between. I am now using a bunch of Innokin MVPs (8) I rotate them. I also have some Cool Fire IVs - do they need to be used down a bit if not used? BTW I do make my own juice - also do unflavored nic as an ADV, but I am stock pilling my ready made single coils as my hands are getting worse each day. I am afraid of Mechs.

So it's not just the FDA regulations, you fear what the state(s) will do, on top of what the FDA has already done.
I just have mixed feelings about stockpiling from personal experience. I stockpiled ( unintentionally ) for most of 2014, and i now have hundreds of dollars of barely ( or never ) used equipment ( most of which are obsolete ) and liters of eliquid which i will likely never use
Don't know what to do really, but i'm leaning towards waiting at least until Aug 8 and probably a few months after that ( to get customer feedback for the newer items ), so i can decide what to stock-pile, if i chose to go that route. I'm pretty sure a lot of vendors will be rushing in with new products up until then, to buy themselves an additional two years.
