This is incorrect the 510 was invented for audio use in the 70's. And is still used for that purpose today.

I'm guessing this is what JB Weld is. Never used it myself. Presumably it is electrically conductive or you couldn't use it in this kind of application.

The method you described would be a lot easier than putting it on the female threads and then recutting the threads with a tap when it had dried. I'm not sure how it would work though. You would have to depend on the Weld stuff sticking to the female threads on the mod. But if you screw in the tank while it cures wouldn't it also stick to the tank threads?

Maybe I'll look it up on the web, I'm curious now.

jb weld is great stuff,, modern day bailing wire and duct tape,, we had a a/c line in z71 with a pin hole,, mixed up the jb on cardboard,, then used the cardboard like a big band-aide, wrapped the little a/c line and let it sit overnight.......no more freon leak and a/c cranking again. i have thought of using it to make smaller juice holes,, but a bit worried about chemical leaching,, so i adjusted my wicking lol

Its a known fact they have been trying to buy a nuke. If they get their hands on one they WILL use it. If a nuke is used there WILL be an EMP. An EMP IS an easy thing to protect gear from. So i spent $8 to protect some gear from a possible threat.

Are you aware that a Muslim Cleric issued a Fatwa that it was acceptable to use nuclear and biological weapons to kill the infidel.

Far be it from me to laugh at anyone, but I'm pretty sure my non-rubber-wrapped-or-not-in-a-Faraday-cage mech mods will be fine. Unless it is some super EMP that changes the molecular structure of stainless steel, copper, brass, steel and aluminum, rendering those metals non-conductive.

Besides that, there is a very high probability that if an EMP strikes the USA, the first thing I'm grabbing (after the really important things: my wife, my 1911, and my AR) is going to be a Marlboro and a Bic lighter.

And bear in mind that I'm not saying it couldn't happen - merely that I'll be much more concerned about things like my ammunition and food stockpile than my mechanical mods (which will survive nicely as currently stored in a box in a drawer).

Got some more doomsday items today. My wife just doesn't get the severity of what might happen. But something odd happened. My mail lady asked me for my ID and signature. It wasn't because of the vendor because I have used this vendor many times without this happening. Thoughts?

I have heard that some vendors have very recently started mailing requiring ID and signature at time of delivery.

Sadly the majority of vapers are going to be screwed. They only heard a water downed version that the media reports. I f you listen to the media reports when the deeming came out you would never know how insane this all is. And those people would be ...... and join up to support the cole-bishop amendment. Unfortunately, they have no idea and are going to freak out when it gets rolled out in August.

As I understand majority of users buy their vape at Walmart or gas stations. Cigalikes and such. They will be hit with higher prices. That's all. They are accustomed to price hikes on cigarettes. C'est la vie, nothing new for them.

I'm not sure I believe that. I realize the stuff is somewhat heavily "merchandised" in those stores, but I've never seen anyone buy any of it, nor have I ever seen anyone actually using a cigalike in the wild.

If it uses a 510 connection, it falls under the deeming regulations. Doesn't matter if it's an adapter, plate, dodad, thingamajiggy. The FDA has worded the deeming regulation to include e-cigarette parts. And anything that uses the threading found in a 510 connector is pretty much guaranteed to fall under that provision.
