That works to adapt the battery to the PV. Not the other way around ;)
Yes, I am aware of that. I figured the original poster would look at it and figure it out. No one I know of would seriously want to modify a pv just for a battery nipple.

Please do NOT use flat top to button top adapters. Or post them as a solution. The Provari relies on a real button top to protect against inserting the battery backward (reverse polarity). If you put the magnetic adapter on the wrong end (the negative end) you WILL smoke your Provari (literally). And at least one member here has done that. And it's an easy mistake to make, the positive cap not looking much different than the negative.

You buy a Provari for its safety and reliability. Don't defeat their mechanical reverse polarity protection.

I don't know about everyone else here in the vape world, but I, for one, always read and research each and every piece of info on any new item that I purchase. I make sure to follow the items description(if provided) and always use the recommended batteries/coils, etc of said item. If I can't figure it out, I ask. I alone am responsible for my safety and if I mess up I don't try and blame anyone or the product for my mistakes. I also do not tell people what to buy or what to post.

You did suggest that adapter, simply by posting the link. If you are not going to warn people of the very adverse consequences of misusing it, I will. You are of course entitled to use that adapter in your Provari. That is your right.

I have some of those adapters and have used them with no problem at all. I quickly learned that it was easier to just get a few button top batteries for the few mods that I "had" that needed them though. That was my choice to make in the end.

I simply provided information. Again, assuming everyone here is an adult who can think like an adult and read can figure out what they want to use and when and on what. No permission is needed.
Let's be very clear here. You recommended an adapter for a Provari 2.5 that Pro Vape specifically and emphatically recommends against using. Assuming everyone will do their own research and come to the correct conclusion that it is potentially very dangerous is the wrong excuse for recommending a dangerous product without any cautionary statement.

I myself followed the Provari forum for over a year before it became clear to me exactly why Provape was so against that adapter and the consequences. And that thread is lost in history after the Provape forum was shut down. This is not easy info to come across.

It would be best for this thread and the forum if you would just accept that, and lick your wounds in private. If you persist in "exercising your right" to recommend this dangerous adapter then we will just go round and round again.

No excuses, just facts that you don't want to accept. So, it took you a whole year to figure it out? I was one of the first in line when the Provari's were introduced to the market. I am not interested in continuing this line of persecution from you. Go try it on your wife, see how far that gets you. It stops now.
Goodby.

I recommended that adapter in a thread back some time ago trying to help a member out, lo and behold, somebody else saw the post and got one and started using flat tops in his ProVari. One night after a few beers he accidentally inserted the battery wrong, and literally smoked the board in his trusty old ProVari.

I had assumed that folks reading it would understand and take precautions and use it safely, I felt pretty bad that info that I had offered fried a mod that had sentimental value to its owner.

Lesson Learned:

Battery Adapters and Alcohol Do Not Mix.

So you knew, from day one, what would happen if you reverse polarized a Provari, yet you posted that link without comment? Really?

I understand how unintended consequences happen. I think your incident is the one that alerted me to the problem. It was previously unclear to me that the Provari had no backup reverse polarity check in the circuit, and they may be unusual if not unique in that. Most mods take flat tops so they have to include electrical level protection.

It is still unclear to me if a battery could vent in that situation. I don't think the battery vented in the case you refer to but that is no assurance that it couldn't happen.

Just ensure you buy them from a reputable source and not someplace like Fleabay.

Actually...........there are a Few Reputable Vendors ON Fleabay.
Lightening Vapes - Wire/etc.
R-lsales - Batteries/chargers

I Have done business with both for a few years - not one issue
Can't say that about FatDaddy:oops:

I havent shared it yet, try it here and let me know if it will let you D/L it.

If you open it in Excel you will probably need to click the "Enable Editing" button in Excel.

Yep, works............62+25=87........might make it that far........and still have 6 liters left:facepalm:

From Provari's website..........................................................^^^^^^
The ProVari™ can be adjusted from 2.9 - 6.0 volts in .1 volt increments.
(Designed to work with the AW IMR high drain batteries.)
(You must use batteries that have a positive nipple on the top. Flat top batteries will not work.)
