No worries. You've repeatedly said you don't have one. ;) No way you would have known. :)

Really, I didn't know they'd even fire.

Yup, they do, but most reliably on a seasoned coil. I run z-atties, Nahualons and Krakens on mine, and it take hours of slow pulsing new coils before they're vape-ready.

Interesting for sure!

I see in your signature you used IBT's...I will sure miss those. I still have some cartos, and can run mine, but that's my kind of vape.

Yes, I know...dark ages...whatever. I loved those.

My p2.5s and p2.0s fire at 1.0, but more reliably at 1.1+.

Then don't get one.:lol::lol: Problem solved. :D
Vape what you like. That's what it's all about...at least for a little while longer.

Way back when I started, when I wanted more than my Johnson Creek Vea, I wanted/needed something that was idiot proof...something that would override possible "user error" I watched P.Busardo's review of them, and he sold me on it. I had DH watch part of it with me, and his comment was "why wouldn't you get that one", then I sprung the pricing on him.
But, I went for safety back then (Mar. 2013) because it was all so new to me.

I won't sub ohm vape, so I'm good with them. :)

But please EVERYONE, vape what you enjoy, while we can. :nun:

I've got 2 Provari's. One is a v1.0 and the other is whatever version first came with a Blue LED.

Liked them Both and used them both for Quite awhile. Just kinda drifted away from them for VW Box Mods.

I tend to Build in the .6 ~ 1.1 Ohm range. And use wattages in the 15 ~ 20 Watt range.

Been organizing my vaping stuff to get ready for the extra stuff I have coming in...boy do I have a lot of stuff! Most is glass bottles that I went overboard on when I started DIY and thought I needed to make 10 bottles at a time LOL But I also had numerous plastic bottles as well. I divided everything up into plastic bags and put them away.

Also found a wonderful wooden box that is perfect for storing my extra stuff. I had aquired 7 full Kayfun lites and 7 of the bell cap ones as well. Been stuck on Kayfuns for the last 2 years....just love them. The wire and cotton Im sure will not be affected but ordered a couple of spools of my kanthal (Just in case) Still working on my bag of Japanese cotton for the last 2 years and still not halfway through so pretty good in that department.

Trying my best to downsize and keep this simple but you do tend to aquire a lot of stuff in the four years that I have been vaping.

Here I thought I'd yank your chain, and you were yankin' mine the whole time.:lol::lol::lol: :D

When reg mods die I wonder how hard soldering a wire to bypass the board and turn it into a mech would be.
I've wondered that myself. :)

I too bought 2 at the higher pricing, then had picked up my 3rd the beginning of this year, then the others when the deeming regs were released. A couple minis, and a couple 2.5's.
But, beyond the first two, all were at the $34.99 price for the mod.
I had two extension caps purchased with the first. Picked up another extension cap, and an extension ring this past month.

No, you can't go below 1.5ohm (I believe, but double check me on that) it will cut off.
If want to make sure you can run 18650's, then for a mini 2.5V, you need to get an extender ring, and extension end cap.
If you get the Classic 2.5, you need to get the extension cap.
Otherwise just run the recommended battery size for each of the devices.
I believe you can take the P2.5 down to 1.1 or 1.2 but I target my builds to 1.4 to leave a little room to make sure it doesn't get temperamental about it.

I picked up a total of 4 mini dragons but two went to a friend. They have the look and feel of a nicely machined mech. Only problem is that the polished SS scratches easily.

It is equally possible to take a mini to 18650 size with 2 extender rings plus the stock flat end cap. Just so people!e know the possibilities. In theory using the extended cap plus extension ring eliminates a threaded coupling and may be electrically better but the P3 uses two extension rings to go to 18650 so I figure it should be a moot point.

Probably relatively easy. I'd be afraid of a short though. Even though my solder skills are acceptable I would be nervous. At least with a Pico the vent would be down and away.

I've never had a reg chip go bad on me. It's always been the internal batt, fire button, or 510. I did drop a zmax in salt water at a beach. Instant death. My wife fell into a lake with an istick in her pocket. Instant mod death there too.

The challenge will be that the fire button (on most regs) wont be able to handle the current.

I miss those Ikenvape cartos for sure. I have a couple boxes and IBTs in the stash, and look at them wistfully. Nothing comes close to the flavor, nothing.

Oh yes. I usually see it coming, but you gotted me.
Wow, that was about a month and a half before I started vaping.
Lookie at that juicy carto.

I still use some carto's and tanks. I have 13 mods running, and three of those I use cartos on. I'm building up quite a stash on them, buying them up when a vendor is blowing them out for cheap.
I debated buying up some cartos, I think I have about 60 left, short & long ones...

Somewhere out there
I just saw the $35 price tag and am tempted. I noticed it needs a battery with a button, and an extension for 18650s, but is there anything else I need to be aware of? Can I pop my subtank mini with a 1.0 ohm build on there and vape happy? Or will I need to build to a higher resistance? I don't see an ohms range on the feature list, just a voltage range.

Thanks for the help all.
The price is great! Yes end cap, button batt, I think 1.5 would be better, but ask the experts, I am still new to building coils :)
Damn... That would kinda put a Crimp in My vaping style.

you could get a P3 they even sub ohm :) I did get one for a higher end Provari for my stash. I have a Classic too, not sure how low it goes as I have not had to time to test all my new shiny toys yet! LOL

I've considered it a Few times.

But for the Price of one P3, I was able to check Many other items off my Need to Buy List.
