Hey YoursTruli, I definitely need more rebuildable tanks! What have you found to be your favorites? I can build single coils but with my old eyes and arthritis I need a good size build deck!

I only do single no fancy wire builds myself too :)
I like the SXK Nebula Wine tank a lot, to me it's an easy build on a dual posts design for a single coil build, easy to wick with no leaking issues.
$12.87 SXK Nebula Wine Tank RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer - authentic / 5ml / stainless steel + glass / 22mm dia. at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
Kayfun lite or Kayfun 3 are also great for easy single coil builds, I have to play with wicking it sometimes because of leaking though, I am hoping to get better at it.

I don't know anything about the Kabuki but would these work?

50-pack Rubber Insulators for Coil Rebuilding by clonecores

Thanks! :) I did order some of those, a little smaller and longer than the originals but after watching nautilus coil rebuild videos and unsuccessfully trying to do it myself multiple times I have not tried them yet to see if I can make them work. It is definitely not as simple to rebuild a premade coil as most actual rebuildables are.

If you have a Kanger Subtank Mini, can you see if they are the same ones, used in the base.
    They look very similar.
    If not, thanks anyway...:thumb:

While it is expensive I very, very highly recommend an Authentic SquapeRs, reasons?

    1. Incredibly easy to build on due to
    a. Non conductive deck and chimney
    b. Easy to wick
    c. Suburb machining (of course, it's Swiss)
    2. The flavor is amazing
    3. With the conductive coating I would advise to avoid clones, I wouldn't trust the quality of the plating and I've heard of quality issues with the clones. It's machined in Switzerland so they're not coming out of a factory in China.

That and get yourself a Jewelers head loop, my eyes are bad and it works wonderfully. Insure you get one with a light built in.

I tried to rebuild a protank once and it was quite dreadful. But my son will use an eGo twist with a protank sometimes instead of smoking. And I like to encourage that so I stocked him up on twists, tanks and prebuilt coils for them. And I bought those insulators and a package of prebuilt, prewicked wires to hopefully make the chore easier if he uses all his packaged ones. I may end up somewhere down the line throwing them all out and giving him a Provari with one of my tanks. But I'm going to have to get really, really frustrated with it to give him one of mine.

Thanks Dave! And I really think I would like to try a Kayfun lite plus! I have a Kayfun nano and some mini v3 clones but I would love to try the Lite plus!

I probably need to buy a KF Lite Plus. I have 3 EHPro KF v3.1's and 3 Tobeco KF4's. I like the side fill on the KF3's, but the bottom fill on the KF Lite might even be more convenient.

In this day and age with the FDA breathing down our necks, you can't have too many pieces of vaping hardware. The really funny part about the FDA and juice is that all of the ingredients, except nicotine, are in the things people eat, drink, rub on their skin, brush on their teeth, and drip into their eyes (yes, eyedrops contain PG!).

Is the non conductive deck like the ceramic deck of a RM2 that protects?

Nope (don't believe it is), it feels like aluminium and it has non conductive coating thus why I won't trust the clones. It also has a choice of decks, the ones I have are

    D Deck, for dual coils
B Deck, very open deck for a large single coil
W Deck, is for Cotton wicking

The other deck I believe off the top of my head is the S Deck which is for Silica rope

What the reviews on YouTube. This was actually my very first RTA and when I bought it I kept questioning why I bought it, was having buyers remorse "until" I got it. It really is I would say the best MTL tank out there. I have a Kayfun clone, while it is a good tank it really does not compare to the Squape in ease of build nor flavor. That and of course it's a clone so you can't even try to compare the build quality.

    Anyway check out some reviews

While I mostly do subohm DL vape these days I do like carrying around my Squape when I'm out and about or chilling in places that would just be obnoxious and rude to blow massive clouds. You now like at the bus stop, etc.

Here's a shot of it with an 18350 mod that it usually lives on.

My EHPro Squape deck is coated with ematal that looks like a Silverstone frying pan. It doesn't scratch with a fingernail and it works fine with a coil lead laying flat on the deck. It's a nice, smooth, grayish/gold shiny color. I'm not particularly worried about it.

The easiest coil head to rebuild has to be the horizontal Subtank OCC heads.

Put tge coil in tge coil head pass a Shaft through the coil and housing. Insert grommet and positive pun abd cut leads. Remove screwdtiver or coil winding Shaft insert and trim wick to size.

50-pack Rubber Insulators for Coil Rebuilding by clonecores

I've got the rubber insulators for the ProTanks some time ago. A few of the silicone ones were thrown in and were a bit too large and more difficult to insert. The rubber ones are too small for the Nauti's housing and too tight for the its pin, but silicone ones fit both ways. The Nauti's pins are a bit larger than the ProTanks. Think I'll buy some silicone ones for building.

Also, Clonecores seem to have clone Nauti coils that are based on the old double coil that first came out. Some people preferred them over the vertical coil.

I rebuild the Nauti coils by drilling two opposite holes out with a 5/64 bit (the casing has the small wicking holes). I insert a wooden dowel in the casing before drilling out so's not to collapse it. I then build a coil with 30 g. Kanthal, 7 wraps, 1.5-1.6 ohms, and put it in horizontally up through the bottom and capturing the coil with a pin run through to the other side. Complete the build and wick with cellu cotton leaving about 1/4" fluffed out each side. Be sure to test fire before wicking or use your ohm meter. I am then "ready, Freddy" and good to go. Don't even bother to replace "spit back" screen. :)

Unless you "like" the taste of rubber, you don't want those. Lightning Vapes - All the RBA supplies you need, shipped same day! carries the silicone insulators (replacements).
I have both and actually prefer the rubber ones. I've not noticed getting a rubber taste from them. The silicon ones are to soft to suit me and seem to cause the pin to go in to far thus prevents the pin from making contact with the battery pin. Isn't it great that there is something for everyone.

    Ditto on having both
    Ditto on no rubber taste
Ditto on the silicon being soft ... I have to back it off a hair sometimes.
Some of use are "alike"

I agree. The rubber is much firmer and therefore causes fewer issues. Unfortunately, I can taste it and am glad to have the silicone, even with the minor problems it causes on occasion. ;)
