thank you so much for that. I’m enjoying the days I have left with her because from what I’ve read it’s going to get pretty awful in the end. So together we are trying to be as prepared as possible. ❤️

My sister died of lung cancer four-and-a-half years ago. It had already metastasized to her skin and her bones by the time she was diagnosed, so there was no hope and no treatment other than palliative. A few weeks before the diagnosis, she moved in with me. She died three months later. And, though she was tired and weak and in some discomfort, it was only really horrible for the last day and a half. All in all, she lucked out. I hope your mother is as lucky or more.

The tank is called a tanktop but filling from the bottom is ok. When doing a build make sure the coil fits and does not hit the sides or top of the casing after being put back together. If it does it will short the wire out.

Here is a good website here in US that offers 30% off with the code turkey and has free shipping on orders over $14.
Rocky Mountain Vapor, The Mountain top of Electronic Cigarettes

Also here are the coils that kanger makes for the rebuildables. They are the same ones that are originally installed when you buy a new tank. After the 30% discount that come out to around $4.55 for 20 of them.

Kanger Subtank RBA DIY OCC Coils 20PCS - $6.50 : Rocky Mountain Vapor, The Mountain top of Electronic Cigarettes

They also have the kanger tanks, etc. If you want, take a look around their website. They offer a lot of the 'older' stuff that we all still use.

:)
Great site! There is an entire listing for Kanger tanks, are these the ones I would need? Or would any of the Kanger ones work? I’ll order some coils from there as well to see if I like them better than the homemade ones. :)

Zazie, I’m so sorry to hear about your sister. I’m glad she could be with you in her last months but I’m sure that makes a lasting impression once she’s gone. If I may ask, is that why you started vaping?

My mom lives about 2 hours from me but I talk to her every day and go see her every weekend. When they diagnosed her she was at stage 2, but she rejected any treatment as they aren’t too promising for small cell lung cancer anyway. And she’s doing well! Like if you didn’t know she was sick you wouldn’t be able to tell. I hear the decline is rapid and as horrible as it sounds, I hope that it is. I hope she feels amazing until the day that she doesn’t and then I hope it’s quick.

The oncologist told her to start vaping, and she bought a pen thing from like Walgreens or something and hated it so went back to smoking. Crazy that something can actively be killing you and you still choose to participate. That addiction is so strong.

Thank you for sharing your story. I hate to drudge up past heartache but it helps to talk to people who have been in similar situations. ❤️

Hello everyone! I’m new here, and thought I’d introduce myself.

I’ve been a 1 PAD smoker for 18 years, and was introduced to vaping last month by my father in law, who recently stopped smoking via vaping.

He gave me a Kanger Box Mini and made me a bottle of juice and sent me on my way.

I tried to use it when I got home and found the nicotine wasn’t high enough. So I ordered some supplies and am currently stalking my UPS driver daily.

I’m 36, a mom of 3 young boys, and in November I found out my mom (age 55) has terminal small cell lung cancer. Guys I am so excited for this opportunity to quit smoking.

That’s my story! Looks like y’all have a good thing going here, and I’m looking forward to meeting you!
Hi and welcome. If you can't make it with that attitude, nobody can...

I forgot to post the picture and I guess that would help

Is it still a toptank if you fill it from the bottom? Like you have to flip it over to fill it. That might be a stupid question.

Nope. The main difference between a Kanger mini subtank and a toptank is the filling method--the regular mini subtank is filled from the bottom. They are both great tanks and since you already own one (or 2? I'm not sure), you don't need to buy another one quite yet. What you need is just some drop-in coils that zoiDman and I suggested-at least for now. They will make your life much easier while you take your time learning how to rebuild your RBA coil.

I have one because he dropped the other one so I think I’ll order to switch up flavors and have a backup.

If it is just the Glass that broke when it was dropped, you can get replacement glass for a TopTank.
Oh man, really? I think he threw it away!! He dropped it literally while handing it to me, he was trying to screw it back in and dropped it on the tile. He gave me the base and the wick coil part though, maybe that's all I need?? When I'm off of this work meeting I'll take a picture of the parts and maybe you can tell if it's everything except for the glass?

Take some pictures. Replacement glass tubes for Kanger mini tanks are cheap and widely available, just make sure that you do indeed own a regular subtank mini (bottom filled)--the toptank glass tubes are not compatible.

BTW, Kangertech tanks come with replacement glass tubes--at least mine did. Ask your stepdad is he has any parts, boxes, glass tubes left maybe.

And please, watch the third video I posted and tell us definitively which model you have. Then we'll be able to help you better with replacement parts. Coils are no problem--they are interchangeable.

A wonderful post. :)

I remember the very 1st person who put me on the path (who is no longer here, John) and had the same feelings as you do now. Bravo.
