I have been wanting to try the ecigg for some time now, but no funds to begin. Well next week I should be able to get a starter pk and refills to begin. The terminology throws me for a loop, trying to find the best pricing makes me smoke.....and still trying to figure up monthly costs after I get started. Help....right now I am looking at Volt stuff, so far their starter kits are the most reasonable but open to more suggestions. Suggestions on buying, making batteries last the longest, ect

Hi Draconia555, welcome to ECF and congrats on your decision. Here's some info for you:
An ecig glossary with "most" terms:
E-Cig Glossary. Definitions, abbreviations, and meanings. | eCigology

Generally the different delivery systems: These holds the juice and also vaporizes it.
atomizer/ atty- an element- used for testing juices so you don't spoil a cartomizer with horrible juice
cartridge/ cart+ atty- cartridge has filler and is saturated with juice- juice drips on to atty
cartomizer/ carto- a metal tube with element and filler- juice from the saturated filler is vaped. Must be topped off occasionally
carto+tank- carto with a hole punched in it surrounded by a metal, glass or plastic tank that's filled with juice. Juice saturates the filler via the hole in carto
Clearomizer-wick+element in a plastic or metal tube with NO filler.

Juice Components
Flavoring usually about 10%
PG enhances flavor, TH and lung hit- water like
VG= vapor and can mute flavor- thick
Nicotine- TH, lung hit and our need for nicotine. The MOST important ingredient in regards to TH and lung hit.
Standards in the industry are 80/ 20 or 70/ 30 PG/ VG. I vape 60/ 40 PG/ VG.

Buying a particular PV depends on: money you wish to spend and the size of PV that you're comfortable with. When buying realize battery info:
100 mah= 1 hr normal vaping.

Once you decide on a size and price we could help you find the best PV at the best price.

Good Luck.

Also keep an eye on the deals and steals section of this forum for discounts. I like my Ego the best but still use my Halo G6 from time to time. It is the same size as the volt. Very good quality and the batteries last forever. If you are trying to save money stay away from the prefilled cartos get your own juice and drip or refill cartomizers, tastes better too.
