Keep it basic. Get a single battery (more mAh means longer battery life), a delivery system (Vivi Nova, cartomizer, atomizer, whatever) and some juice. Get comfortable with that.

In a week or two, you may want something else. Everyone else will still be here to help out. But get comfortable with the equipment first. Just make sure it's decent equipment.

I've been going back and forth with vaping for a year now. Right now I have 1 battery. I've found the delivery system that works for me and juice I like. Now it's all maintenance and fun. :D

My first kit was the V2 ultimate kit. As soon as I figured out this could work I moved up to a kgo and refillable cartridges. Today for the next step I would recommend a vision spinner at 1300mah and a vivi nova tank. I don't care much for the mini but love the mega, easy to clean fill and vape. Just make sure they are vision and not knockoffs. Knockoffs are not bad on a lot of things but with the nova you have to be careful.

My research lead me to many ego twish and based on what i read some are branded eGo-CTwist but are actually knock off. How can i be sure? Do we have a supporting vendor here?
Thanks.

The only vendor I feel comfortable recommending is Smokeless Image, because they're who I bought my batteries and cartos from. They are 808 threaded, which means a Vivi Nova won't work without an adapter. But they have great customer service, decent prices and a number of good options for use with 808's.

Get an X2 battery and either some pre-filled carts to try out or some blanks and some liquid. They have 3 sampler packs of pre-filled carts at a decent price, and if you find some flavors you like you can always re-fill them with some liquid for a couple of weeks.

Seriously, you can get started for less than $30.00. Use the coupon code MERRYVOLT for 20% off.

I only recommend them because they're what worked for me. :D

Good luck!

I quit smoking 10 years ago, but started chewing instead(figured it was only hurting me and not the my kids). But after 10 years of chewing was ready to quit that too. I started out with a couple e-gos and clearomizers, I haven't put a chew in since I took my 1st vape. I have since escalated to 2 provaris with big daddy tanks. I love the provaris but am thinking about upgrading to the Z-Atty for the provaris.

This explanation is the best so far. Everyone else talking about 510, 808 threading and using acronyms like PV etc. can get overwhelming for someone new to vaping.

For the OP, if you decide to go with the eGo Twist then go on Youtube and find GrimmGreen. He does an excellent job explaining what the eGo Twist is and its performance and demonstrates how it's used with different delivery systems. Basically all delivery systems are "atomizers" because all electronic cigarettes need to atomize liquid. A cartomizer is an atomizer in an opaque cartridge. A clearomizer is an atomizer in a clear tank (it's dumb I know but you get used to it).

Congratulations on seeing the light, hope to see you keep us up to date on your journey :)

I finally found a vendor (cignot) where i can customized my kit.

What do you think?

Would love to add Vision Nova mini or Kanger T2 to it but can't seem to find them on their site. Anyway, i'm think this would get me started for now, right?
Please feel free to comment if i need to add anything else before i checkout.

Appreciate it!

First pic is an eGo batt of some sort or knockoff with an eGo clearomizer. Keep in mind there's several types of eGo batts and knockoffs that look the same. The second pic Iooks like the same batt with a DCT and a black collar that covers the threads. It's basically a plastic tank with a cartomizer with a hole or two in it that runs through the middle and a drip tip (mouthpiece) on the top. Both are very popular choices. I'd opt for the top setup only because they're easier to fill. However, the DCT will probably last longer as far as the juice goes. Those ego clearomizers really go through juice fast. Thats my findings anyway.

If I knew then what I know now I would definately go with the Ego twist over what you selected. With the twist you can change the voltage to find out what you really like and you can adjust it based on your juices. Here is where I ordered my first upgrade from. They are not the cheapest, but they have genuine Joye products. Here is what I would get:

(2) Joyetech Joye eGo-C Twist Variable Voltage 900mAh Battery

(3) Vision Vivi Nova Tank System - Plastic Tube

(1) Joyetech Joye 510 USB Charger

This is a very solid mid-level set up that is easy to use, and I think will give you maximum happiness with minimal frustration. It is 510 threaded, which I believe is not compatible with your original set up. If your original setup is a manual battery then you can get an 808 to 510 adapter.

I hope this was more helpful than confusing! I was in your shoes a few months ago. This forum has taught me so much!!

Thank you for all the support and advice!
Glad i found this site.

Here is the list i put together....
Joyeegoctypebcart.png

Included in this kit is 2 batteries, 2 eGo-C Type B atomizer bodies, 5 atomizer heads, 5 Tanks, 1 eGo fast USB charger, 1 AC to USB adapter, 1 pouch, 1 instruction sheet. You may select Regular resistance heads or Low resistance. The Low resistance burns hotter.

The Type B are Cylinder shaped and the Tank holds approximately 2ml. Note: It is important that you have liquids to begin.

Good to go?

Oh, wait, not sure if the kit is a knockoff as it says Cignot instead of Joyetech. I posted in the vendors section but haven't gotten a reply yet. Any thoughts?

Thanks again.

Whoa! Hold up there - don't click that button!

You're quite right: that is a knock-off, and it's WAAAAAY too expensive to boot!

Why, you can buy a Joyetech kit, direct from Joyetech itself, for $69: Joyetech eGo Starter Kits

Yikes.

Can't buy direct from Joyetech but Cignot is one of their distributors tho.
As far as price wise, is a little higher from your link but i did add some other option on the drop down tab.
Here is the link from cignot.
