One small step

So prior to vaping I was a smoker for 33 years and while at work we were designated a specific area to smoke. A loading dock that had a heater to use during cold days and a table to sit and read. Also it was covered and was convenient for rainy days. It was the companies smoking area for years. Recently we were kick out of that area as it was now designated a NON-smoking area due to the height of the roof and it had three walls which made it illegal to smoke there. We were given an alternative space which is uncovered not heated and has no seating

Within the last few months I have taken to ecigs and vape at work. I have been analog free for 2 and a half months. I have tried to speak to our GM and head of Human resources regarding the reintroduction of the loading dock to vape. With some extra pushing and quotes from The Smoke-Free Ontario Act (SFOA) and the City of Toronto Municipal Code I have been given the ok to vape in the loading dock.

Next step would be inside in our staff cafeteria...

At least you don't have to go breathe the second hand smoke that we are trying to avoid. So many companies treat vaping the same as smoking. That is a small victory, and we have to count all of those we can. Congrats!
