I quit completely two weeks before trying my first e-cig. It was a rough two weeks but my cravings for cigarettes disappeared immediately. vaping gave me exactly what I was missing.

I stopped the day I got my RN4081 and that was nearly 6 months ago.
I now have various mods and use different attys depending on what sort of vape I want but haven't touched a single cigarette at all. I found vaping to be much more enjoyable than smoking ever was and will never go back.
I had previously tried patches, gum, lozenges etc. with no success at all. I won't say it was easy to quit with vaping because it wasn't, but definitely better than any NRT currently available.

Got my first e cig in November 09. It was a piece of junk and didn't work vry well. Got my 2nd E cig in mid Jan 2010 had my last analog Feb 2010. Now I'm down to 6-9 mg nicotine from my original 18-24 mg nocotine. Now I have helped 10 other people to try E cigs and some of them have quit too.

I've been smoke free for 2 months now...it was very gradual for me after initially going from 2 pks a day to 5 immediately after getting my 510... then I would crave one very badly from time to time and my bf still smokes, so I would take a drag. Gawd they'd taste so nasty! I just got a kr8 for my birthday, and very happily learning and vaping. I LOVE it that I dont smell anymore, and that there's no smoking in the house!
havent smoked a analog in around 6 to 8 months, from my first experience i knew this was for me in every way. I was a pack a day smoker. I do remember one instance where my friend wanted a pack of analogs and asked me to pick one up from the store for him. And i was with another friend. I gave my friend the money and asked him to buy it. He asked me why, i told him i dont even want to give my mind any memory of buying another pack even if its not for me. Oh yeah and its so nice not having everything in your house covered in dust in a week.

I quit shortly after Christmas when my first kit arrived. Not a single, solitary cigarette since then. I'm about to hit my 3 month mark

I haven't gotten my e-cig yet BUT... I only have 3 cigs left in my pack and should get my package in tomorrow. WOOT! I am not going to give the government any more money in the form of cigarette taxes. So no more cigarettes for me. I can't believe they are considering a ban on something that is saving people's lives.
I have gotten to the point where I really resent this country... there is no freedom here. Big bankers get bailed out for f*ing up the economy, get bonuses and STILL continue to do the same practices that got us into the mess in the first place. Theres no risk to them... and isn't that part of the essence of capitalism?
I'm a government worker for the State of California and my pay got cut 15%, cigarettes went up in price, my college tuition went up 30%, I receive no grant money only loans which barely cover my tuition and my credit cards all raised their interest rates (when I have never had a late payment EVER). They are bleeding me dry!
I work my ... off working 40 hours a week and regularly pull 12-14 hour days trying to better myself. Yet there are women out there who pop out multiple children, because it is their "reproductive right"... yet they live off of taxes. Some of these women get a free ride, because they were stupid enough to not use some form of birth control. Yet I don't even get a single grant for school.
Where are my rights? Why can't I choose a healthier alternative to smoking? I'll pay taxes, but not at the rate cigarettes are taxed now.
Dammnit... whats the difference between vaping and someone drinking a couple red bull a day. I like nicotine... they like caffeine... Or how about taxing fast food! Obesity is becoming more of a health risk than smoking! How about making that Big Mac cost $10 instead of $3. That might encourage parents to actually cook for their children instead of going through a drive through. BUT WAIT... parents don't have time to cook anymore, because they have to work harder, because their wages have remained stagnant and their cost of living has sky rocketed.....

Wow... I'm a little embarrassed by my rant up there. I'm just frustrated... vaping seems to be like a miracle to me and now it is threatened, because of ulterior motives. I know alot of people will just got back to analogs and that makes me sad after hearing all of the success stories on this forum.

Stopped smoking one week after I got my first PV in September 09. Haven't had one since then, after 42 years of real ciggies and I don't miss them one bit. Tried every stop-smoking device out there, inc champix.
Stopped since Oct 2nd 2008 when i got my 801 and 901. That feels like a long time ago.

I was on the Nicorette lozengers for a few years and would always lapse back to smoking when I couldn't get them.
E-cigs keeps me off both- over-priced pharmaceuticals and over-priced cigs!

I'm the same in Feb 09. When my ol' dse901 arrived, I never smoked again after 18 years of analogs. Gum, patches...useless. My VP2 purchased in Nov 09 is my main device and still goes as it first did. Gotta love how these devices just help, otherwise I'd still be smoking like countless others.
I got my V4L Kit on Feb. 23 and haven't looked back. After 7yrs of smoking I am glad to stop paying $8.00 a pack for tobacco. I had a drag of a cig about a week ago just to try it...I couldn't handle the smoke lol. To all the PV manufacturers out there thank you for saving my lungs from all the smoke.
I just quit on 3-12-2010. I smoked for about eighteen years. Vapor4Life thanks. It's been very easy. I'll never go back to analogs. Any one on the fence, I suggest you jump. You won't regret switching to an E-cigarette.
