It mostly disintegrates. But no, it doesn't completely, and no, it most definitely is not safe to inhale simply because it is a sterilization agent.
The amount of residue left in cotton is probably insignificant. All I'm saying is sterilizing has nothing to do with toxicity. Or rather, that it has a lot to do with it. Sterilizers are poisons.

Peroxide disintegrates into water and oxygen once it is dry. Completely harmless. Nothing in that article contradicts this point. In fact it states the vapor is sometimes released into the outside air once it has done its job. It does kill viruses and bacteria, but only in its active form - before it breaks up into H2O and a molecule of oxygen.
Been vaping with bleached non organic USA cotton Salon Coil cotton for several months now, guess I should be dead?

You won't die, but you might get high :)
No such luck.

I have used KGD and the Sally Salon Coil cotton has less break in flavor than the KGD does. It is also easier to use on the small coils I use in my T3's and such.
KGD seems better for the larger coils though.
I got some KGD and gave it to the wife to use on her face.

I used cotton Lamo organic sheets and not very happy with their initial taste. They are bit darker - or more beige - than KGD. Have to boil them for a lighter color. I wonder if they are washed before packaging.

My kayfun lites would ALWAYS suffer leaks with strips off organic balls. I switched to the pads and not a single time. It did take some trial and error to get the amount right BUT.. It would always just not wick great immediately before i screwed it all back together and filled it. Once i was at that point the pad cotton has not caused an issue.

No difference in taste either, if you have pads already i would reckon the balls are a downgrade in my humble opinion.

I used cotton balls on a Kayfun Lite Plus for a while and never had any issues with leaking.

I am currently rocking on a Goblin Mini again using cotton balls with no leaks.

You are probably just better at wicking. I just found that switching to the pads has been a lot more consistent with less fuss, for me anyways :)

Sterile does not mean safe to breath.
True
Hydrgen peroxide vapor will kill within minutes at a very low PPM.
False.
Hydrogen peroxide is used as safe chemical in water solutions, its vapors are not very toxic, it is used as an anticeptic to treat minor wounds (you can buy it at any pharmacy).
When used as a bleach it evaporates completely and there is no hydrogen peroxide in a dry product.
Bleached cotton is safe to use.

Thanks, that explains why I am not dead yet.

Im thinkin of buyin a bag of org cotton balls from local CVS, since I have heard of others doing this. Up until now, I have been using the classic KGD square pads.

Aside from the form that the materials come it, is there any difference in performance when comparing the 2 (i.e. flavor, wicking ability etc.)?
I find the pads much easier to work with cuz you have form the cotton balls into straight fibers. KGd is supposed to be better then cotton balls for most people.

the Kojendo is much better at bringing the ejuice to the coil because of capillary action.

I have never had a problem with organic cotton balls as a wick.

The secret is you want the wick to have a little tension in the wick but still adjustable to slide back and forth.

When the ejuice gets between the fibers the wick will expand slightly.

As I have said it an art form.

Too loose and it will flood.

Too tight and you will get dry hits.

I recently added more cotton to see if the leaking will stop in my kayfun. Didn't help. All it did was bring more juice to the wick which subsequently leaked into the air hole.

What is the diameter of the coil? I make 2 mm coils.

Are you sure it's leaking? A lot of people think leaking if they see anything under the Atomizer.

Sometimes it is leakage. Sometimes the Vaper holds the button to the end of the inhale and the vapor inside the atty of tank falls onto the battery. I notice this with my Goblin Mini but its not leaking. I reduced this problem by releasing the button 1/10-1/5 of a second before stopping my inhale so there is less vapor in the atty or tank.

That is one possibility, so I will try your suggestion. All I know is liquid accumulates on top or my battery, and the source seems to be from the air flow screw on the bottom of my kayfun. I do hold the button perhaps too long. Thanks for the suggestion.

Scotticus.

I use cotton balls no problem.

The only real difference is the Kojendo cotton has been combed meaning the fibers rul the same direction so they wick a little better.
