My turn for a question as well...
Dreaded button problem. I pulled the switch, and it seems to have gotten some juice in it.
I remember seeing in this thread some have cleaned with iso, any feedback on PGA (190 proof)? Either better or worse?
Any advice would be appreciated before I give it a soak and hope for the best. A simple cleaning didn't do the trick.. :(

I believe ipa is the stuff to use, it's used extensively to drive out moisture from water damaged cell phones.
Glad your cap has arrived and you're happy with it

I'm surprised more people haven't chosen that option

Not all people have a drill press or milling machine w/ titanium coated tiny tiny bits. (I do!:)) And also have the knowlege about working with SS. Work hardening can be tricky and to those who don't know about it, and will ruin your brand new cap if your not careful.

#500 mesh 80x35 mm 7/8 28 AWG A1 Kanthal 1.3 ohm
comparing it with the same flavor and a 6/7 wrap at 1.1 ohm
so far the flavor is very good....heating the coil takes a little longer
both wicking perfect
plenty of vapor

I had the same problem. This advice is at your own risk, but it worked for me...
Took everything apart and cleaned / soaked for a bit with PGA (Pure Grain Alcohol - 190 proof).
I'll likely give it one more bath, but it went from not firing at all to firing 99% of the time.
It was obvious, in mine, that some juice travelled down into the tube..

Hi guys, I'm having a little problem with my 2.1 button. Just today, the button started misfiring intermittently, like I have to press it just right while listening to it to get it to fire. It seems to be working as I'm writing this. Any pointers as to where to look/clean first?
