400 mesh with 32g kanthal and the juice is 60/40 pg vg. It's a juice that makes clouds in my cartotanks on provari/ego pv's.

Alright, well as you stated the flavor is great, that is what it is all about, but if you want more vapor I would suggest to roll your wick very very tight ending up with a pin hole size wize for the hole: cut a piece of 70 mm wide, oxidize just the top part where the coils will be and if you can get it: 30 AWG kanthal, 4/5 wraps, break it in for half a tank and then ask again

What size orings are needed for that glass tank you sent? It slides on very easy with the standard ones.

Glass tank is from Terry. As far as I know the regular orings supplied with the Orion. Check turbo's posts above as I am not 100% sure on that...

use the thin oring on the bottom of the glass tank, it will not leak that way.

And a workaround if you don't have the correct orings:

wrap a few times some cotton thread in the oring grooves, it will make the tank tighter.

To me your vapor production doesn't look bad, but I understand you're comparing it to your other system/same juice. As 'emonty' pointed out, a thick wick can help. Also; building the negative connection up w/ 2mm washers/nuts raises the coil closer to air hole will help vapor production. Another thing is to sand the tank down, but if your air hole lines up w/ the wick hole you may not need to. Lastly, (and I would experiment w/ a plastic tank like the Vivi) drilling the air hole a little will increase vapor production, but w/ the expense of some flavor.

I'd try the first two.

Make sure your not over tipping. If you tip to much it will flood and will produce less vapor. Keep your wick down and your air hole lined up with the wick, tip only enough that your wick is in the juice at the top not where the entire top of the tank has juice against it. With a high PG like your using, it wicks faster and is more prone to flooding than the high VG juices.

30g Nichrome here (bought 100ft spool!), 7 wraps. 6 are very close together and towards the top nut/washer so the air hole aligns to it better, the 7th coil is just a wrap around the wick down to the screw. The 30g nichrome I use a 2mm shaft phillips to make the coil, fire it a few times, then slide my wick in. Coil reads 1.7Ω (actually 1.4 due to 0.3Ω resistance of the meter/probes). Vapor production is really good and flavor is almost to much! I also got some 32g nichrome, that works well also, I just use less wraps. I have been using Kanthal for almost 2 years (because I bought a 100ft spool of it - still have about 30ft of it), but decided to try nichrome, which I like better. It is less "springy" - to me - when making the coil allowing me to make very tight close coils.

For those who are interested in Glow in the dark O'rings:



I got it from Ebay. And the Diameter I went for was 1/2".

Did the_great's M2 mod of elevating the post near to wick (I cannot for my life, remember whether that is the positive or negative, and I'm only 31!!!)



It did elevate my coil up, as I'm not too keen in sanding down my tank.



70mm of #500 mesh with pinched top, as I still get Volcanic pops.



Been running the above setup (3/3 coils of 32awg Kanthal) for past 2 weeks, with no dulling of flavor and enjoying plumes of vapor with my Halo Torque56. Not too keen to post video though, as I'm camera shy.

Hey guys, please don't beat me up over this but I have been searching the forum and this thread and have been unable to find a positive answer to my question and I am very tired. With the knowledge I have gained from various threads and more specifically members emonty and BJ I have been able to roll some of the most outstanding wick/coil setups on my Line V2's.

My question is, what is the diameter of the wick hole and how long should the wick be for the orion v2.1? I have a friend who just bought a orion v2.1 and has asked me to make a few wick/coils for them to get them started. They live far from (states away) from me and I will be doing this without the device in front of me. I think I read that it should be 25mm for the depth. But i've yet to find the diameter of the wick hole. If it is 2.5mm like my Line I will be using 70mm for the width of the wick and test fit it on my line. If it is not, I will just have to use calipers. Thank you!

Yes sir, 70mm in width is nice with a little room to spare.

For height I did 33mm...

The Vivi Nova has the same threads as the Orion's top cap. It's great to test air hole sizes and placements. The picture was one 'brian' posted a while back.

Not saying this is a bad thing to try, and it is a perfect fit, I just have to wonder how accurate of a "test" it really is with all of the added volume in there. Any changes HAVE to be impacted by that as well, and not "just" the airhole size and placement...

Not saying its a bad thing to try, but not reliable enough IMO to make a call on to drill, or not to drill.
