Ok all, 2 tanks threw it and not a single dry hit.
I just checked the juice level and I vaped the tank dry, never been able to to that until now.

As opposed to drilling out my wick hole I went with crashtests suggestion and just made a smaller wick for the stock hole and that seemed to yield the same results your describing .... but then again a 1/8 hole sounds pretty sweet :)

I have a wicking issue... notice that i have good wick and coil set up but now it's not wicking good. My wick is about 55mm . I read in this thread that normally others use a 70mm length. Will it make any difference in the length of the wick used? Could that be the reason it's not wicking well for me? i'm using #400 mesh by the way ....

Here's the funny thing .... I rolled and wired the combo to die for about two weeks ago. I was in vaping heaven! 120 ml's through that setup. but ..... Why oh why did I think it was a good idea to change the wire ?!? but I did and now all the various methods of adjustment are in play looking for the holy grail.

It's not really that bad but patience is definitely a virtue for any RBA/Hybrid and ya just stick with it 'cause when the magic is there .... oh my. Nothing but nothing will ever send me back to carto's ..... NEVER!

I'm guessing that you will have to burn you wick. Leaving a little room in the wick hole helps wicking.

I've found that using the peter k /drill bit,rod method works wonder. Perfect coil every time, no short and hot spot and i'm using 28g 7/8 wraps. It is just SO much easier. I suggest you to give it a try.

Tossing this out for the collectors. Time has come to part with my original Orion. It is stock, no drilling anywhere just shortened the switch thread 3mm, I'm running it with magnets in the switch. After speaking with Les, there are probably not 100 out of the full 200 that weren't converted to the pailpoe electronics, so this is truly a collectors piece. I also have another that was heavily drilled I might include to the right person.

This has been a hard decision but tough times have arrived and I'm not in a position to be a collector. :(

Just did a voltage test and i'm getting .48V loss. BATTERY 3.9V - COIL 3.42V = .48V (EFEST 18350,A MONTH OLD)
So I thought it might be the battery and went ahead tried a band new 18650 Orbtronic and same thing.
How do I fix this?

What voltage drop do you get when you don't have a wick installed, just a coil?
Also: are your threads "really" clean?

PS: I never measured, but get a good hit, so did not bother

Really, oh my. that is very cool. I might not be able to afford but PM me some details, Please :) I'd only be interested in the original.

Even worse w/ just the coil, .62 drop, lol. Are you referring the threads as the cap thread or battery thread or post thread or all of them?
Thank!!
