I know what ya mean. I spend time in a German forum, I often completely mistranslate stuff.
Btw. I've been using genenis attys for a long time now. Dare I say, ” perfected” it. I just did the JackFrost oxidize method.. Friggin awesome!
Cut a piece of mesh, burn it, roll it, done!
No quenching, no burning juice.
I just set up 4 attys this way. Not even the slightest short. Prefect wicking.

I understood the same. 357 sounds like the new cut off till fall. It also is dependent on Pailpoe being willing to produce the pcb/switch. Being there from almost the start, it's mind blowing how the V2 & V2.1 have taken off. I know he wants to work on other things too. I'm anxious to see what will be next.

If mine gets any better I'm afraid my lungs might explode lol. 3 wraps of 32 awg kanthal and bored out air hole to 5/64

I've finally decided to put my name on that list for the orion. If I didn't drag my feet I would be almost 100 spots up on the list but looks like I got in just under the cutoff.
Congrats! I know, its going to be 400 in a week or less.

He will announce a day or two ahead that he is sending notices out and the time. He has on the past given the numbers that are ready. These are built & ready to go, so little wait. :) Last release, about 25 did not respond back so be prepared if you are just below the cut off.

Hey gang. I see a lot of familiar names on the list. Looks like a lot of Orion's will hit the US this summer.
. What do you think about putting together a tips/tricks post that could be tagged & bumped as needed?

Just got mine today.

A very beautifully put together device indeed.

This is a great idea. I already have a ton of questions.

Not sure how those work but if it keeps info easy for peeps I like it. ;-)

Super easy.

I have a hard time finding information in a big forum thread. Take the HOH thread for example. Fahgettaboudit! :D

The only downside is that it would be yet another website to bookmark and remember.

Any way, I could do it. And members could make changes and add topics.

And it won't be super purtty. lol

Ask away. I'm sure we can get you sorted.

My 2 best tips for easy set up.
1- tighten the top terminal nut till 1-2 threads show above the nut. Helps eliminate hot spots there.
2- with a pair of needle nose, bend the edge of the bottom washer down and the top washer up. This will save frustration in wrapping. Forms a nice. "gutter" the wire will drop into.

Congrats!

1-if you mean o ring, correct. Most of us sand our tanks so the intake lines up with the wick.
Some have enlarged the inlet. I would caution you to use it for a week to be sure you want to. Les has said there will be no replacement caps. He even made a video showing how to mod a juice bottle for testing before commiting to drill.
If you chain vape, yes. Make sure the wick is not too tall.

Is there a video or precise instructions anywhere talking about how or how much to sand the tank or enlarge the hole?

And yes sorry o-ring.

I just push the small piece down while wrapping the wire around the screw.
