How many wraps on your coil are you doing ASH? If it's harsh or to hot, wrap your coil with one more wrap and give that a shot. What one person does may not be what you like or find you like best, especially when your new to Genesis type RBA (at least I think your new

) Wrap your coil a little tighter than the one in your pic but not where you pinching the wick, also once you slide the wire between the washers on the positive post, pull the wire a bit till your wick leans toward the positive post (but not touching), decreasing the length of wire betweeen your wick and the positive post will help eliminate a hot spot at that location. I don't use an insulator so once I get the coil wrapped I try to move the wick so that it is some what centered in the wick hole and not laying on one definite side, that way I feel it helps prevent the base metal from pressing through the oxidation on the wick and creating a short. Make sure you have at least two threads showing on top of the nut on the positive post. Good luck bro.
