Not trying to be pessimistic by any means, but is anyone else concerned about switch availability later on down the road? I'd hate to have my switches go bad and not be able to get replacements, ya know? Can't imagine Pailpoe will be making them forever...

you should contact him and buy a extra. very fair price.

All I can say: no worries....Less is on it and told me we will be very happy!

Tbh, that is why I did not keep my v2s. Plus my mechanical hits harder IMO. I told Les as much. I think he is working on a mechanical switch. He has to keep things quiet as the plagarists are rampant.

I know many love their electronics but to me they are counterintuitive to the genesis principle of self sufficiency.

I do hope the switch will still be available in the long run. we had a group buy of ten v2.1 here in the Philippines. two of them already have dead switches. one was a coil short and the other one dropped once and it's no longer firing good. I never thought that the switch was that fragile.

maybe the next revision will be more durable or a mechanical replacement switch compatible with the v2?

Finally got around to boring out my mouthpiece to 11/64" and I'm much happier with the the draw and vapor production now. Next I'm gna bore out my wick hole to 1/8" (not going to insulate it though, my torch does all the required insulating), add a stack of nuts to the post rather than using the washer/spring setup, and probably bore out the airhole to 5/64". Glad I kept everything relatively stock for my review, but now it's time to change it up and get it specced out to best accommodate my particular vaping style, which is what it's all about, am I right?

Of course modding your Orion is up to you. I think what Les has tried to get across that gets jumbled in the different languages is it is not necessary. Les has videos with shorter draws on a stock device, producing as much vapor. It's all in the build of coil & wick. If you put too much air to embers, they do not spring to life. It's a delicate balance. After having a modded Orion, I can say without any doubt the vapor was not increased with my draw and the flavor was unacceptably reduced. I'm an old lady. I smoked 2PAD for 38 years. I don't have the lung capacity you youngsters have, smoking fixed that.

Can you please shoot me a link to his youtube channel? I'd love to check it out!
And though some of the mods I've made and intend to make in the near future aren't necessarily necessary, they've undoubtedly improved the vapor production, and I can guarantee that boring out the wickhole will vastly improve wicking capabilities. It's not that the stock configuration doesn't work, because it does (quite well in fact depending on your personal preferences), but I think there are areas where it can be altered to exemplify certain functional attributes.

Just a word of caution for peeps thinking about going to 1/8 on the intake hole. You already know this but you can never go back once you do. I did the 1/8 mod and beveled/polished and it looked great, however the draw was terrible. I SO wished I had never done it.

For the record I did do the mouthpiece hole and that was the only improvement I should have done. Les has corrected that with the 2.1

Rick I will a bit later for you. Here is mine on a totally stock Orion V1.0. Smaller intake & mouthpiece than V2.1 & shot with the swap cooler on because it was over 110F. Notice how short my draws are.
