I am outdoors alot and this is my first season as a vaper. Was recently setting up a tree stand, and had a nice vape at 25 ft in a tree in the national forest. Was an awesome vape, and was nice to not worry about burning down the whole forest with a cigarette, a constant fear with smoking. I was wondering, as I was up there, if any other vapers are vaping "out in the wild", and if so, what are ya doin? Hunting, hiking, fishing, maybe birdwatchers? And what are you using as in vape gear?

I go camping fairly often, and have camped with vape gear three times now. I actually had a huge fail this weekend. The two previous trips were fine. I just brought a vv pen style with an evod on top and that did great.

This time I brought my mechanical mod with a kayfun and my pen style and evod. My mech fell out of my pocket and hit the groung kayfun first. I picked it up to take and test vape and it shorted like crazy. I truly thought the battery was going to explode in my hand. (It didn't) SO basically when i dropped it, the positive and negative "blocks" on the build deck were touching causing the short. I had no supplies and couldn't fix it out there.... Which sucked.

I busted out my e pen style, and vaped on that for about 30 mins, then promptly dropped it in the river.... Not so successful this time. The vv pen is in the trash.

I keep it simple, a ego and a protank, and a back up ego and areotank. They are the only things I take out on the rivers yaking. Glad I held on to my ego's for that reason. Though my mods like to go camping and outdoors, just wont take them where they might drown or get smashed. My 4-nine hung out with me all 4th of July weekend as did his buddy Kaufun.:vapor:

I frequently go on ATV rides. Our usual group has several prime spots where we stop, pop a top, build an oak or hickory fire and grill. I pack an SVD Kayfun combo in a knife sheath on my belt and an ego mini Protank around my neck. I'll have a spare 18650 in my pocket and a modified flashlight holster also on my belt with some combination of filled Protanks.

Few things I enjoy more.:thumb:

Yea I started out taking almost everything I had,"just in case". And I'm talkin mechs, RDAs, RTAs, DNA30, and the full kit for rebuilding on the go. Im a "what if" person. Figured out, really quickly, that I dont use 90 percent of it lol. Its down to my mvp that I leave in the truck (really like having it around fully charged just in case we need to charge our phones) and my VV and egos go with me on the trail. Mini Protanks and Evod tanks. Perfect for outdoors, and work too. I just think it's awesome that vaping goes so much better with our hobbies than smoking. Truly a blessing...

I vape when on the golf course. When I was smoking, I always carried a little container to throw the butts in. Still, I would light a cig and of course it was my turn to hit the ball, so throw the cig in the grass not to have smoke in my eyes during my swing, pick up the cig afterwards. Now, I just take a few puffs of my e-cig when I feel like it and put it back in my pocket.
