I'm sure Imeo has his own ideas of how he wants to design this. Frankly he's always done a damn good job of figuring it out, even with all of our zelous opinions. Over and over I admire his creative concepts and astonishing devices. He needs our ideas less than we need his.

I have been away for extended times and after reading some of the comments, I will say it is probably good I have been unable to monitor these forums. The Proteus will be made only when it meets Imeo's satisfaction. That is a simple concept that has always existed for the product line of the GG series.

Imeo is not here to get rich - If so, he would have sold some designs to the Chinese long ago. This is his passion and love and there are a good number of us here that share that same passion with him. What other designers and maker of his skill and reputation would ask openly the things he does? Somewhere in the area of NONE that I know of.

And please, before anyone says it is "just" a PV or whatever, think carefully please. Please do not take Imeo's patience as weakness nor those of us who work for him and/or follow his work making it appear that such open personal/derogatory criticism is allowed for it is not. At the end of the day, the GG series is about the spirit of the designs and Imeo's commitment to excellence that have made the GG name what it is.

I am only an Associate but my job when well is as always, to help police these forums of his. This forum section is as much his "home" as any 4 walls are. You can't expect to walk into another persons home and pee on the carpet and expect nothing to be said for it will be. Other than that, if anyone has divergent views of PV's in general or how Imeo conducts his business, that is your right but... when any of us click reply, it becomes the interest of not only Imeo but those charged with keeping things on track here as well. ;)

Other than that, it is great to be back at least partially and like the rest of you, I anxiously await when Imeo has a product he feels comfortable with putting the name GG on! :)

EDIT: Clarification to differentiate personal criticism and derogatory remarks from legitimate and requested feedback or critique on hardware.

Just a quick word to clarify what appeared to sound like any criticism was frowned upon. Imeo seeks our feedback and critiques of design and general items. The criticism spoken of was intended to be directed at personally derogatory or insulting posts.

And as an avid user of the GG myself, I would love a "mini" GGTS style but as most of us will do, whatever Imeo chooses to go with will be eagerly awaited by myself just like many if not most of the users here! :)

Thanks again for all your opinion guys. I think that I understand what I have to make. I have to make Proteus as it is with a different electronic cirquit for now. A cirquit that will keep voltage at 3,6 volts. After that we can add a different kind of cirquit when time comes

Yup i agree on that. Portability is the issue. I was using fairy by markbugs with penelope but then i hopped onto itaste vv for the regulated volt and its 'passthrough'. So im anticipating what proteus would be at the end.

So if I use 33 avg kanthal and silver wire what lengths of R and NR should I cut? I guess you realize I dont get the different gauges and how they affect vapor production. All I know is I want Clouds Of Vapor :smokie:

Ps, thanks everyone for their input

@Fanky.depends where you like your vape/ohms to be. Now if it were me (I like a 1.1ohm or thereabout vape) at 33g r wire i would cut my wire at about 1 inch and tie it up.will prob only give you about 2 wraps around your wick(if you use double wick). You may like it.

Yes I believe it is widely understood that although we all have our ideas of what the "Perfect Match" for Penelope would be. IMEO has the intuition and developmental skills to make what will please all of us. His track record is amazing and he has not let us down. So Whatever he comes up with is sure to make us happy :D

I know I'm late to chime in but I would love small device for Penny with regulation. I will say that eventually I would love VV as this means I can build a coil that's a bit higher in ohms by mistake and bump up the voltage or wattage to suit the coil.

But who am I kidding. If Imeo builds it I will purchase it ;)

The only problem I can think
Of now when it comes to size is the batteries to work with 14500 16340 17500 18350 are the smallest I know of diameter wise and if you go 18mm Thats a stealth if you go 17mm that's a ggtb and if you go 16340 your still in the low mah boat and a vv 10440 is the fevered dream of a Crazy person that loves to change batteries but a 17500 mod with recession to hold Penelope and a ring for a
510 atomizer would be cool in my opinion but without pulse width
Modulation alot of the batteries small enough to please size wise would be way to
Low on mah and if you really need a vv or vw slim mod right away get cracking trying to fit a potentiometer DNA wires and posts in the tb tube and make it 150 mm long inside the tube or wait until
Imeo crushes a mod for penelope and please
Remember before I
Get a bunch of flak for being a
Fanboy that I have not
Said gg mods are the best or worst just
Adding some opinions to things I've read on this and many other threads I have
Owned a ton of mods and ggs work enough said

most of you agree to a 14500 GG with a separate button, with a future ability to change the button to any other electronic kind, yes?

That sounds good to me too. Future upgrade-ability with the removable button is great. Though the batteries may not last the longest,
I'll use it all the time in the right situations and just carry a spare or two, no problem to me.
If it will be like the Proteus, could it be able to take 14650's with telescoping/ adjustable front cap?
I've seen some IMR versions that claimed from 900-1000 mah, and suddenly was curious..

I have seen these too and if Proteus is built with some sort of telescoping ability then those of us who wish to can accept the longer form factor while those who are very much stuck on the "Tiny Slim" factor can have that too.

I would really like to see this product come to fruition however I also want to throw in any ideas that would possibly help to make everyone happy at the same time.

a telescope will add unnecessary width, it will not meet Penelope's width and it will make this GG very long buddy:)

I can see how that would increase the diameter of the device. In lieu of a telescope. would it be possible to instead make an extension accessory tube to allow for the extension to a 14650 battery for those who do not mind a longer PV? This would allow for the diameter to stay within specs for the Penelope, meet the need for the 14500 crowd and also allow for the use of the 14650 for prolonged battery life for those who do not mind a longer form factor?

Sincerely;
Nate aka Darth Vapor
